Back to school fun...

Friday I had lunch with Cash, Colby, and Grey at the Cedar Hills Park one more time before school starts on Monday. It was such a pretty day. We had a gourmet lunch from McDonald's. I walked in the stream with the boys, the cool water felt good. They climbed trees, looked for treasures, played at the playground, ran through the sprinklers, and Cash found an ant colony in a rock. He observed the ants for awhile, he likes stuff like that!

French fry flip flops, Colby's idea!

"Did you get the X Grandma?"

I will always remember how much Grey likes to hold the small treasures he finds. He found a skipping rock and a lucky penny.

Colby and I made zucchini muffins from a huge zucchini he found in their garden. We may have lost track of how much flour we added but they tasted pretty good. I love cooking with Colby, he's such a good helper.

Grahm showed up after his nap, and we played a few games. Chris made a yummy dinner and we talked for while. Out of the blue, Cash asked Chris how his business was doing. Cash was genuinely interested and they had a pretty grown up talk. Then we went to the park across the street. Grandpa, Chris, and the boys launched rockets and played Frisbee.

I forgot to give Grahm these bug glasses for his birthday, it turns out that Colby really liked them!

I'm not the only one who is going to miss Chris.
 Lovely evening...

Thanks to Chris and Mark for helping move the washer and dryer.
I love my family.

Last one...

I have completed my goal to listen and study the talks given during the April 2019 conference. I seek to do better and be better, and to learn what the Lord is trying to teach me. I am assured once again, that President Nelson is a prophet called by God to be His representative on earth.

"As you study (the conference messages), seek to learn what the Lord is trying to teach you through His servants."

"We hope and pray that each member’s home will become a true sanctuary of faith, where the Spirit of the Lord may dwell. Despite contention all around us, one’s home can become a heavenly place, where study, prayer, and faith can be merged with love."

"I leave my love and blessing with you, assuring you that revelation continues in this the Lord’s Church. It will continue until ‘the purposes of God shall be accomplished, and the Great Jehovah shall say the work is done."

Closing Remarks
President Russell M. Nelson

Fortressess...

"Our homes are fortresses against the evils of the world."

"Our homes are only as powerful as the spiritual strength of each one of us within the walls.

"When we live the gospel of Jesus Christ, when we draw upon the Savior’s Atonement and press forward with faith, not fear, we are fortified against the wiles of the adversary."

Always give more than you take...

I like this song by Rascal Flatts.. "My Wish"... "I hope... you find God's grace in every mistake, and always give more than you take."

Give without expecting anything in return, after all it is more blessed to give than receive. (Acts 20:35)

A 91-year-old WWII veteran said, “Our lives are not about collecting things. It’s about serving each other.”

I think about the way I give, and who I serve, and of course I always want to put my family first. Helping Chris clean out his storage unit or watching Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm overnight, these are the things that bring me the most joy.

Snoozing away... Grahm was having a little trouble falling asleep so I put him in bed with Cash. Grahm took Cash's hand, and Cash whispered to me, "Grandma, Grahm is holding my hand." Cash told Grahm, "I'm here if you get scared." He soon fell asleep and slept peacefully in the portable crib the rest of the night. Giving...

Grey gently combing Grahm's hair... giving.

Colby practicing the trumpet... giving!

Cash let Grey play cars with him. He explained to Grey what aerodynamic means and other car related stuff. Grey listened carefully and rarely took his eyes off Cash... giving.

My grandsons are often the best of examples of what it means to give. I'm so proud of them.

Happiness does not come from what you take from the world, it's what you give to the world.
Give more than you take.

The Great Deliverer ...

Really, this is my favorite talk from April conference. It's worth reading, I have several times.
Jesus Christ is the Great Deliverer and “He will deliver you from everything that threatens to diminish or destroy your life or joy.”

"The immediate goodness of God comes to all who call upon Him with real intent and full purpose of heart. This includes those who cry out in earnest desperation, when deliverance seems distant and suffering prolonged, even intensified."

"God also gives immediate hope for eventual deliverance. No matter what, no matter where, in Christ and through Christ there is always hope smiling brightly before us. Immediately before us."

"Above all, God’s love is immediate. … Even our sins, though they may separate us from His Spirit for a time, cannot separate us from the constancy and immediacy of His divine paternal love.

For Grahm...

We had a delightful day celebrating Grahm's 2nd birthday. Tiffani made some cute decoration for this bug-loving boy. The balloon caterpillar was amazing! Grahm enjoyed it when we sang Happy Birthday and he loved blowing out the candles. He wanted to "do it again" and so we did! What a darling boy.

 Love this beautiful family!

Happy to you Grahm Ivan Williams
