Then sings my soul...

"It was that time of year when everything seemed to be in its richest colouring; the birds were singing in trees and everywhere. It was very warm; a thunderstorm appeared on the horizon and soon there was thunder and lightning. We had to hurry to shelter. But the storm was soon over and the clear sky appeared. When I came home I opened my window toward the sea. There evidently had been a funeral and the bells were playing the tune of "When eternity's clock calls my saved soul to its Sabbath rest." That evening, I wrote the song, "O Store Gud." (How Great Thou Art | Carl Boberg)

My favorite hymn...
O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed
And when I think of God, His Son not sparing
Sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in
That on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing
He bled and died to take away my sin
Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art

My deepest gratitude is for the atoning sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and for a loving Father in Heaven.

ThrowBack Thursday ~ They have no clue...

Grahm and Grandpa!

Many times, we need our grandchildren
more than they need us. They have no
clue what they truly do for our souls.

Entrepreneurship Evening...

Colby and Grey participated in an entrepreneurship evening at their school. The gym and halls were filled with students selling their wares! Colby and Grey set up a booth and were great salesman. Grandpa help Colby make a stand for his bracelets. They both had a lot of fun. I was proud of them. It was fun to walk around with Grahm and see all the booths.

The happiest place on earth...

Chris has travelled to Hong Kong and made his way to Disneyland!

(Hong Kong Disneyland is a theme park located on reclaimed land in Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. It is the first Disneyland in Asia outside of Japan. The Hong Kong Disneyland is located inside the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. Opened: September 2005)

What an amazing place, more wonderful experiences for Chris.

Believe in the magic!

I hope your presentation goes well Chris!

Just for fun here are a few pictures from when Tim and I went to Hong Kong back in 2000.

We finally arrived in Hong Kong thirty hours after we left Salt Lake!

Stanley Market

Riding the train, it was always so crowded, you can see Luke with his red suspenders. Tim and I are right behind him.

I remember Susan explaining why the male lion had his paw on a ball.

(The male lion, symbolic of the Yang, usually has one paw placed upon a ball. It may come as some surprise to know that the ball is actually supposed to be embroidered and not, as may be expected, representative of some weapon or other masculine accessory.

The embroidered ball itself has a long history. Often made from discarded clothing as a toy for children, their gift came to represent friendship and affection. To this day in China, the throwing of an embroidered ball from a woman to her beloved in the hope he will catch it to bring about good fortune is an aspect of courtship.)

The food was delicious, we really enjoyed the Dim Sum!

We had a wonderful time visiting Luke and Susan while they were serving a mission there. It was very hot!

Yahtzee ~ Wish books ~ Monkey Bread

Cash has been coming over after school for piano lessons. It's been a wonderful experience. Sometimes he plays games with his ole grandparents, he's a good sport. He was saying he has never got a Yahtzee and then it happened! We had a lot fun. We enjoy the one on one time with this wonderful handsome young man!

I looked over and saw Grey looking at some of the catalogs that we got in the mail. I told him to circle the toys he might be interested in. He has such a sweet face and never demands anything. I sure love him.

Colby always ask me if can help make dinner or a treat. He's a wonderful helper and I love cooking with him. I asked him if he would like to make Monkey Bread and he said sure! I gathered all the ingredients and he did the rest. We all enjoyed every last bite of the bread. Who knows why it's called Monkey Bread!

Grahm took a few pictures. I have been trying to get a picture of Cash with this one cute expression he has and low and behold Grahm captured it!

We also had German pancakes. Grey and Grandpa liked them the most!

I'm just so thankful when Friday rolls around!

Grandma's Birthday Week...

Jeanne ~ Kanyon ~ Lisa ~ Aisea ~ Jeneane ~ Ecko ~ Megan ~ Katie
Missing were Jeanette, Owen, Cynthia, and Olivia

My aides surprised me with an early birthday breakfast. The waffle bar was delicious. We enjoyed visiting with each other. There's not a lot of time to do that in a regular day. They are among some of the best people I know. I was very grateful for their kindness.

I also had an early birthday lunch with Billie, she always wants to go to PF Chang's. The Kung Poa shrimp was as delicious as ever! Smoke rising from my birthday candle!

I took the day off on Friday. I've been wanting to pick up Grahm from school. I was standing by the car and when he saw me he said to his friends, "My Grandma is picking me up." It was so wonderful to spend the afternoon with him.

Grahm told me that his teacher won't be at school on Monday because she has stones (kidney stones). He explained that the food gets stuck and it hurts. But the class will have another teacher and they can still have their Thanksgiving party!

Grahm ask me to wake him up when we got home! Ha Ha!

I was going to toss out the Play-Doh but every once in awhile Grahm still wants to play with it!

Cash, Colby, and Grey came over later. Colbs and Grey went with me to the market to get something for dinner. They are always so polite and helpful. I didn't ask them to but they loaded all the bags in the car.

And someone got a phone! Cash was so happy. It's been fun to text and call him. Grey was excited too, he stayed by Cash as he was checking out the new phone.

Mark, Tiffani, and family treated me to lunch at my favorite pizza place. I do love the Knob Hill and I got Ring. I've been wanting one for awhile. It's an amazing gadget! The best gifts were handwritten letters from my grandson's. I will keep them forever.

Always need a selfie!

I look at the beautiful origami butterfly Colby made me everyday.

It was also wonderful to talk to Christopher and get a few surprises from him.

And to end a lovely week we got to attend Colby, Grey, and Grahm's Primary program. They sang beautiful songs and did great giving their parts.

I enjoyed all the phone calls, text, cards,
and am so thankful for all the birthday love!

And sometime in between all this, Mark went pheasant hunting with a friend. He had to get up very early and it was cold! He may or may not go hunting again.
