Weekend fun!

Mark and Tiffani went on a business trip last weekend to Des Moines, Iowa. So Grandpa and I were so excited to play with Cash, Colby, Grey, Grahm, and of course Jack.

We painted gnomes and mushrooms. Grahm loved his mushroom and carried everywhere. He even brought it when went to get something to eat. We played lots of games with the magic mushroom!

We took Jack for lots of walks and played in the snow. It was a little cold but it was still felt good to get some fresh air.

King of the Hill!

We did a little shopping and had lunch
at Grahm's favorite Costa Vida.

I was doing something and turned and saw someone looking in the window. It startled me a little but it was just Jack!

Colby made Jack a doggy shirt, I think he likes it!

We always enjoy playing games with boys. You can see the gnome Colby painted on the table behind Cash and Grey.

Colby did a nice job making this Husky. It had over 50 stickers and he had to find where they all fit.

As always we need lots of hugs!

Colby built this solar systems that Chris gave him for Christmas!

Nothing like snuggling up with Grey
and Grahm while watching a movie.

All the grands but Cash wanted to sleep with me. Grey and Grahm were in the bed with me and Colby on a cozy mattress on the floor. We read a few books and said a prayer. As we were falling asleep Grey held one of my hands and Grahm held the other. That melted my grandma heart.

We all slept just fine, even Jack! We had a yummy breakfast. I was helping Grahm upstairs and when we came down Cash had cleaned the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher. He often ask me if I need any help. He a wonderful young man. Colby is so good with Grey and Grahm. Colby and Grey wanted to clean their room so I made a few suggestions, and they got it all shined up!

Grahm took off his shirt and said he needed to do his 15 minutes of exercise. That meant punching his dinosaur. So hilarious!

More exercise!

Grandma got her steps in too.
If I lived at their house I would be thin!

We surprised Mom and Dad with a heart attack! The boys worked hard to make some cute hearts. Grahm also drew that amazing poster.

I'm so grateful that we live nearby so we can see Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm often. Tim and I have days when we feel that they just make life worth living! We can't wait for Mark and Tiff to have another business trip. We love our family so much.

ThrowBack Thursday ~ Uncle Dale...

I miss Uncle Dale, he was brilliant and kind. He also had the best sense of humor and was a great storyteller. He sent me postcards or notes in the mail often.

Howdy Partner!

Just needed a belt to complete Colby's western outfit! I found the perfect belt with a Wyoming cowboy on the buckle. Colby was so excited when I showed him the belt, he ran up upstairs on put on his shirt and wranglers. We had a fun photo shoot. What a handsome cowboy. If he only had a horse. He wants one and I wish we lived closer to my brother Lloyd, he could go riding most anytime. He would probably give him horse because that's the kind of guy his is.

I love Colby more with each passing day!

Into thy closet....

Matthew 6:6

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Matt 6:6 when thou prayest, enter into thy closet

Vaugh J. Featherstone

"Now, the Lord taught us to pray in secret. What happens to us when we pray in secret? First, our faith is put to the test. How foolish people would feel who pray alone and really do not believe in God. We can pray in public and people might think we believe, but praying alone takes faith. When we pray alone, there is no one to impress with our command of the language, with our beautiful phrases or eloquence. We simply talk with a loving, interested Father about what is troubling us most. We take problems that no one else, not another living soul, can help us with. We become like little children, feeling a dependence and need for someone wiser and with power and influence. We do not have to worry about embarrassment if our prayers are not answered the way we think they should be, because only we and God know for what we pray. When tears come, there is no embarrassment. We can be totally honest, knowing that we cannot lie to or deceive the Spirit or God. He knows us for our real worth. He knows who and what we really are, not what we seem to be. When we have personal problems or struggles, we can pray and know that these things are kept totally confidential. We can discuss our weaknesses, our sins, our frustrations, our needs, and know that He will listen and respond." (The Incomparable Christ: Our Master and Model, 60 - 61.)

True prayer places our relationship with God in proper perspective. Any other kind of prayer never makes it past the ceiling.

ThrowBack Thursday ~ I wonder...

I have always wondered what my Dad was thinking about that day. He loved his pick up and camper, and dreamed of traveling the United States. That's my brother's green Cutlass Supreme, I miss Dad and Les so much.

It's about love...

Grandpa and I got to have Grahm Sunday night for a sleepover so the rest of the family could go see Avatar: The Way of the Water.

He made a fun Mario game and we played it several times.

That sweet face would melt butter!

We had a movie night and watched Home. Grahm says it's a movie about love.

I really liked it and Oh the Boov is so cute.

It's such a sweet experience to snuggle with Grahm. We read a few books, talked for awhile, and listened to some music before Grahm fell fast asleep.

Grahm slept good and we talked some more, and listened to a funny Good Morning song that made us laugh.

Grahm is so smart, Grandpa loves to hold him and talk.

"You need to have confidence like when you were young."
"Stop what you are doing and I'll teach you." ~ Grahm

I used my best skills to make an unbreakable tower but Grahm knew the best Nerf gun to use, and knocked them down every time. It was a lot of fun!

We had lunch and Grahm wanted to go to the Dollar Store. He loves the quarter machines so why not get a few prizes.

We really adore this wonderful boy, savoring all the moments!

It was fun to see the other boys, including Jack when I brought Grahm home.
See ya next time!
