ThrowBack Thursday ~ Not having it...

The boys have been good sports and let me take bench pictures through the years. But Grahm was not having it last year! I still love this pictures of Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm.

He cute!

Grahm got a haircut from Tiffani and he looks so handsome. I stopped by just when Tiff was finishing up, so Grahm and I went for a celebratory treat! Grahm gets cuter everyday!

My Hero...

Colby had a wonderful experience this weekend as he participated in the Summit Day Camp. I'm so thankful that I went to the closing ceremony. It was very regal, inspiring, and impressive. I teared up several times. Colby will remember this experience for a long time. He gave the camp a ten out of ten. I love Colby, he not only will do hard things, he will also do great things!

What is Summit:

Summit is a two-day medieval simulation-style day camp for 8-12 year-olds. Led by the trained Youth Leaders of Hero Quest and staffed by Adult Volunteers, Summit allows children to become Knights and Maidens in the medieval nations of Christathel (for girls) and Terra Libre (for boys), where they learn to use their unique gifts, talents, and abilities to solve problems together as they face adversity from the villains of the Shadowlands and Geldt. The event culminates in an epic Final Battle (with foam swords and arrows), followed by a ceremonial celebration.' The event is completely staffed by volunteers.

Grahm loved seeing these dragons!

I'm thankful our grandsons have devoted and loving parents. Tiffani searches for worthwhile experiences and signs the boys up. I know Mark works hard to provide the means.

Colby is my Hero, I know he will "fight fight fight for right" as he sang in the closing ceremony.

Huzzah, Huzzah, Huzzah!

That where I am, there ye may be also...

John 14:3

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

George F. Richards

"More than forty years ago I had a dream, which I am sure was from the Lord. In this dream I was in the presence of my Savior as he stood in mid-air. He spoke no word to me, but my love for him was such that I have not words to explain. I know that no mortal man can love the Lord as I experienced that love for the Savior unless God reveals it unto him. I would have remained in his presence, but there was a power drawing me away from him, and as a result of that dream I had this feeling, that no matter what might be required at my hands, what the gospel might entail unto me, I would do what I should be asked to do, even to the laying down of my life.
"And so when we read in the scriptures what the Savior said to his disciples:'In my Father's house are many mansions: . . . I go to prepare a place for you . . . that where I am, there ye may be also' (John 14:2,3.)

"I think that is where I want to be. If only I can be with my Savior and have that same sense of love that I had in that dream, it will be the goal of my existence, the desire of my life." (Conference Report, October 1946, Afternoon Meeting 139.)

Land of the Gods...

Bali Indonesia, known as the Land of the Gods. Bali appeals through its sheer natural beauty of looming volcanoes and lush terraced rice fields that exude peace and serenity. It is also famous for surfers' paradise!

Christopher has made his way to Bali. He says it's amazing, clean, and beautiful. Good luck with your presentation!

Bali (/ˈbɑːli/; Balinese: ᬩᬮᬶ) is a province of Indonesia and the westernmost of the Lesser Sunda Islands. East of Java and west of Lombok, the province includes the island of Bali and a few smaller offshore islands, notably Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan to the southeast. The provincial capital, Denpasar, is the most populous city in the Lesser Sunda Islands and the second-largest, after Makassar, in Eastern Indonesia. The upland town of Ubud in Greater Denpasar is considered Bali's cultural centre. The province is Indonesia's main tourist destination, with a significant rise in tourism since the 1980s. Tourism-related business makes up 80% of its economy.

Bali is the only Hindu-majority province in Indonesia, with 86.9% of the population adhering to Balinese Hinduism. It is renowned for its highly developed arts, including traditional and modern dance, sculpture, painting, leather, metalworking, and music. The Indonesian International Film Festival is held every year in Bali.  TripAdvisor named Bali as the world's top destination in its Traveller's Choice award, which it also earned in January 2021.

Bali is part of the Coral Triangle, the area with the highest biodiversity of marine species, especially fish and turtles. In this area alone, over 500 reef-building coral species can be found. For comparison, this is about seven times as many as in the entire Caribbean. Bali is the home of the Subak irrigation system, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is also home to a unified confederation of kingdoms composed of 10 traditional royal Balinese houses, each house ruling a specific geographic area. The confederation is the successor of the Bali Kingdom. The royal houses are not recognised by the government of Indonesia; however, they originated before Dutch colonisation.
