Quote of the Week ~ Take heart...

“If for a while the harder you try, the harder it gets, take heart. So it has been with the best people who ever lived." ― Jeffrey R. Holland

Cash and Colby

I love these pictures of Cash that I took in front of Susan's home, in her fun rocking chair.

Cash ~  December 2011

And then it's always fun to compare when I took pictures of Colby a few years later in the same chair.

Such beautiful grandsons, I love them so much.

January happenings...

To be be perfectly honest, the new year did not begin all that well. We have been sick, start feeling better then get sick again cycle for almost two months. Mark, Tiff, Cash and Colby have had colds and all that goes with that. They even got pink eye. Then Tim and I went to a new market in Highland called Meier's. We saw a pot roast that we thought would be nice for Sunday dinner. I cooked it and that night Mark and Tiffani got very sick. The next day Tim and Chris got sick. I didn't eat any of it so it was probably the meat. I felt bad all week that I poisoned everyone. Thankfully Cash and Colby did not get sick.

I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. I went to the doctor yesterday and got an antibiotic and steroids. I stayed home from work but I'm starting to feel better. The very worst part is that I miss seeing Cash and Colby.

Not too much going on but here's a few pictures...

Cooper is an obedient and sweet dog.
He loves the laundry basket, Mr. Squeaky, Tim's clothes and socks.

Cash enjoying some cookies and milk. I love the expressions you get when you ask Cash to smile!

Last week Cash told me his leg hurt so I asked him if he wanted to lay on the bed with the heating pad. Of course Cooper had to jump on the bed with us. It was a sweet moment, Cash and I talked for almost an hour.

Cash was sick again this week so Grandma got him a get well toy. It was a catapult that worked well with his castle. I'm happy to report he is feeling better.

And last but not least is this picture of Colby with toilet paper on his foot.

Here's to a much healthier February!

Quote of the Week ~ Finishers...

Stick to your task ’til it sticks to you;
Beginners are many, but enders are few.
Honor, power, place and praise
Will always come to the one who stays.
Stick to your task ’til it sticks to you;
Bend at it, sweat at it, smile at it, too;
For out of the bend and the sweat and the smile
Will come life’s victories after a while.

Quote of the Week ~ You can be...

You can be excellent in every way. You can be first class. There is no need for you to be a scrub. Respect yourself. Do not feel sorry for yourself. Do not dwell on unkind things others may say about you. Polish and refine whatever talents the Lord has given you. Go forward in life with a twinkle in your eye and a smile on your face, but with great and strong purpose in your heart. Love life and look for its opportunities. ~ Gordon B. Hinckley

Quote for the Week ~ Goals...

"May I invite you to rise to the great potential within you. But don’t reach beyond your capacity. Don’t set goals beyond your capacity to achieve. Don’t feel guilty or dwell on thoughts of failure. Don’t compare yourself with others. Do the best you can, and the Lord will provide the rest. Have faith and confidence in Him, and you will see miracles happen in your life and the lives of your loved ones

Dragon, New Years Eve 2013 and New Years Day 2014

Lee always is so thoughtful and gives the perfect gifts. Cash loves to play "Find the Dragon" downstairs and Lee took note of that. Daddy or Grandpa are usually the dragon. Thanks to Uncle Lee, Cash has a real dragon now.

 Colby was busy playing with Cooper

and Pepper!

Mark and Tiffani were sick New Year's Eve so I made some soup and tried to make it fun anyway.

 Cash liked the noisemakers and poppers!

Colby enjoyed the mango bubbly!

New Years Day we all usually go bowling but with the flu season in full force, we modified the plans.

Cash and Colby stayed with me while Mommy was at home. Tim, Chris and Mark braved it and had a good time.

Mark had the high score this year! I missed seeing his signature curve ball!

Cash was resting on the couch with Cooper and Colby was napping in the bedroom. It was a quiet New Years but I enjoyed being with my grandsons.
