Rescued by reassuring realities...

Matthew 10:30
But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.

Neal A. Maxwell

"We are living on a small planet that is part of a very modest solar system, which, in turn, is located at the outer edge of the awesome Milky Way galaxy. If we were sufficiently distant from the Milky Way, it would be but another bright dot among countless other bright dots in space, all of which could cause us to conclude comparatively, 'that man is nothing.' (Moses 1:10.) Yet we are rescued by reassuring realities such as that God knows and loves each of us, personally and perfectly.
Hence, there is incredible intimacy in the vastness of it all. Are not the very hairs of one's head numbered?
Is not the fall of each sparrow noticed? (Matthew 10:29-30.)
Has Jesus not borne, and therefore knows, our individual sins, sicknesses, and infirmities? (Alma 7:11-12.)"

Grahm's first...

I've had a feeling for a while that I wanted to give Grahm piano lessons. A few months ago he heard me tell Grey that he could earn points if he practiced, then he could choose something from the prize basket. Grahm went over to the piano and started playing. He wanted in on the points and prizes. It was so cute.

So on Tuesday I picked up Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm from school, and took Grey and Grahm with me for a lesson.

After Grey's lesson, Grahm came right over and jumped up on the bench. We hand a short lesson and he seemed to enjoy it. It warmed my heart to see his little fingers on the keys. He actually played a simple song!

I love being their Grandma and sharing the joy of music with them.

ThrowBack Thursday ~ Meltasarus....

2013

I know I recently posted these pictures of the Meltasarus, but Grandpa did it again!

We had a big snowstorm and Grandpa went outside to shovel the snow off the driveway. Just like back in 2013, I wondered what was taking so long. When I went to check on him there he was making another Meltasarus! Only Cash saw the last one, so it will be fun to show the other boys! Just one of the many reason why Tim is a wonderful grandpa!

More fun with the Grands...

Colby made these cool claws for Grahm.
He's a a wonderful big brother.

I saw this horse picture made from wood and I knew Colby would like it. He wanted to paint it right away! He loves horses and as I've said before, I sure wish I could get him one. Colby said he painted the picture the colors he would want his horse to be. He was also making some cool colorful bands.

It was so fun to play this game with Cash. The first time we played Suspend was on a birthday date at the Museum of Natural Curiosity. That will always be a very happy memory. We managed to get all but one of the rods on the tower!

Throwback to our birthday date...

Grahm still likes Playdoh!

We are always so grateful to spend time with
Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm!

Thou shalt be made strong...

Now please don’t be discouraged or depressed by your shortcomings. No one is without weakness. That’s part of the divine plan—to determine if you will master that weakness or let that weakness master you. Proper diagnosis is essential to proper treatment. The Lord gave us this remarkable assurance: “Because thou hast seen thy weakness, thou shalt be made strong” (D&C 135:5).

Adventures in Africa Part II...

We have enjoyed the pictures Chris has sent. He says he's having one wonderful adventure after another! He called Friday morning and he was in a city called Mwanza. Mwanza is a port city on the shore of Lake Victoria, in northern Tanzania. It's ringed by green hills. They city is known for unusual rock formations like Bismarck Rock, near the Kamanga Ferry Terminal.
