Lullabies and Sweet Dreams...

Almost 11 years ago Tim made a beautiful cradle for Tucker, Robyn and Bob's first son. Robyn told me she had been looking for a cradle but couldn't find one she liked. I asked Tim if he would make one for her and he willingly did. It has become a treasured family heirloom.

Asher, Tucker, Abe, Elijah, Gabi, Jude, Greta, Kashli, Minie, Poppy and Brig have slept in the cradle. I hope I haven't forgotten one of our babies!
It was so fun to surprise Robyn at her baby shower with the brand new cradle.

Fast forward and now I have the cradle all ready for our first grandson!

You know I am excited to see him sleeping in the cradle. I can imagine Mark playing a lullaby on his guitar and Tiffani singing in her sweet voice to him.

Tiff went to the doctor today and the baby's heart beat was strong and he is measuring right where he should be... healthy boy!

Tim and went to the annual Pioneer Day Concert on Friday at the Conference Center. The Mormon Tabernacle Choir opened the night singing Blessed, Honored Pioneer. I love that song, it's a wonderful tribute to the Mormon pioneers. The choir is celebrating 100 years of recording history — and all of the pioneers in the field who came before them.

The choir sang all of our favorites, including their signature piece, the Battle Hymn of the Republic. My favorite song of the night was Amazing Grace. Four bagpipers joined the choir on stage and it was beautiful!

Members of the choir danced and sang another one of our favorites, a Nigerian carol called Betelehemu.



President Monson also spoke during concert.

For My Grandson

Guess what I have been doing?

...sewing blankets and things for my grandson!

I have enjoyed every moment as I have sewn the bedding for his crib. Tiffani chose such fun fabrics. I need get a picture of the bedding in the crib.

I am so excited to reach grandma status. When I found out I was going to be a grandma, I was speechless and felt such joy. I have heard a grandmother's love for her grandchildren is overwhelming. I can't wait to experience that kind of love.

I loved my grandparents so much, especially Grandma Federer. I want to be the kind of grandmother she was to me. I spent a summer with her and she taught me how to quilt. I will never be as good as she was but have loved making things in preparation for my grandson's arrival.

My sweet daughter-in-law has let me feel him move and kick. I looked forward to holding my grandson and seeing what kind of personality he will have ~ but most of all, I look forward to being his lifelong friend.

Gotta go, I need to finish the bedding for the cradle, whew!

4th of July Weekend and Miracle #6


Our 4th of July weekend started with the annual Hidden Oaks parade and breakfast. I didn't get any pictures except of our Grand Marshal's, Gene and Betty Harvey. Gene turned 90 this year and we all love and respect the Harvey's. It has become such a nostalgic event. It is so fun to visit with all the families in our neighborhood. It gets larger every year as married children come and bring their children. Tim and I helped cook a bunch of pancakes! The weather was perfect.

Sully, miracle #6 with his beautiful Mom Robyn. Isn't he amazing?!! Once again we are thankful that another baby was born healthy and strong. I admire Robyn, she is a wonderful mom. She had
gestational diabetes and followed doctors orders to modify her diet and test her blood several times a day. Sully also did some major acrobatic moves but turned the right way just in time to avoid a cesarean. Thanks for sharing Sully with us this weekend Robyn!

We also celebrated Miss Minie's third birthday. We all love her!

It's great to live near our family. Do we really have to move?
