Wrapping up May...

We were grateful to spend a few hours with family earlier in May. Hayden gave Auggie a beautiful blessing. About eight months ago Hayden was out for a short run and fell some 40 feet off a highway overpass. It's an undeniable miracle that he survived and is recovering from his injures. That made the day an especially sweet experience.

Cute cousins!

We were talking with Mark and Dianna about our grandsons and I mentioned Colby had just had a piano recital. I asked Colby to play his recital song. I was so proud of him, he didn't hesitate, and played the song to perfection!

Uncle Mark took Mark, Tiff, and the boys to the exact location of Hayden's accident. It still gives me chills thinking about that day. There is so much to be thankful for.

Well, school is out for the summer! Little did I know when I started working at Lincoln about 10 years ago, that I would be surrounded by so many amazing people. We have been supported and by the best, I adore Amy.

Our school counselor Mary is 80 years young and finally decided to retire. She has made a difference in many lives and will be missed. I told Mary after she retires she will have more time to do some things wants. She replied, "I've been doing that all along." What a great way to live.

Mary was a mentor and teacher to our new counselor Katie. She just finished her masters and is a great addition at our school.

My roses are starting to bloom!

Tim made a beautiful segmented vase. It's quite a process gluing all the small pieces of wood together. It's made from sapele, maple, bloodwood, and walnut wood. I think the different colors make striking patterns.

Saturdays and Tuesdays will not be the same. We have enjoyed watching Cash, Grey, and Grahm play soccer! I think this was Grey's best season. He had lots of assists and made a few goals. Coach Chris is wonderful and I think Grey has more confidence.

Grahm is always full of excitement every game!

David's son was playing at a nearby field!

Fun with the Grands and few games of croquet!

Fishing with Gramps

Tiff took the boys to another play at Hale.

Mark, Tiff, the boys, and Jack went to the Property over Memorial Day weekend. It's so green and beautiful there!

Tim, Chris, and I were grateful we could gather with a few family members to carry on important traditions and remember. We were also grateful Lee was not hurt when lawn chairs fell off a truck and hit his car.

Chris also made us a delicious lunch!

And in other news Chris went to a polygamist wedding and his friend Joe came for a visit all the way from Africa!

That's a wrap!
Good-bye May!

Recital for Colby...

Colby had a piano recital and he was magnificent. I could tell he was not nervous and he played a more advanced song. I will always be grateful I could be his first piano teacher. I enjoyed seeing his progress. I hope he will always love music and being able to share his gift with others. We had a celebratory lunch after and he chose Chili's. He loves the Big Mouth burgers and I love him!
