Thanksgiving weekend...

Christopher cooked up his own Thanksgiving feast at his place in the Philippines. It looks so delicious! He also enjoyed dining out and enjoying the beautiful scenery this week.

I got a nice surprise Friday when my nephew Jimmy said he would be in Utah. He was home in Cheyenne for Thanksgiving, and was headed back to Washington where he is currently working. He stayed over Friday and we had breakfast at Kneaders the next morning. It did my heart good to get a hug and visit for a few hours. He also got a new truck, his dream truck, and it's very nice! I'm so happy for him, he deserve that and more.

Sunday we had Mark and family for dinner. I NEVER tire of having them come over. I felt so thankful as we did a few crafts, played games, you know exploded some kittens, and Grandpa read books with Grahm. We also had yummy scones, ice cream, and cookies.

The other day when I went to pick up the boys, Colby asked me to come in the toy room. He told me he got a sticker at the doctors after he had a shot. He said he wanted me to have it. He wrote his name and age on the back. He said that I could put a hook on the sticker and hang it on the Christmas tree, which is exactly what I did! What a sweet boy, I love him.

Lucas...

"A grandmother is one of those rare
individuals who you may always depend on."
A few weeks ago a mom came to volunteer for a few days and helped us with some classes who were working on sewing projects. The mom that came has been helping for several years. She had her grandson with her and I asked her if she was tending him. She said no, he lives with us. I don't know all the details but LeAnn said that her daughter moved to Washington with her husband a few months ago. LeAnn told me that her daughter has a lot of problems and she was worried about her grandson Lucas. Lucas was so good while she walked around to help the students. He's only nine months old. I held him and he smiled, he's so adorable. It tugged at my heart to think that his mother could leave him but he will always be able to depend on his grandma. I could tell she loves him with all her heart. She is in the process of obtaining guardianship of Lucas. I pray for LeAnn and know she will blessed as she cares for Lucas.

Thanksgiving for two...

We happily take turns so Tiffani can have Thanksgiving with her family every other year. This is the first time in many years that Christopher was not here to cook one of his legendary feast for us. I did my best to make Thanksgiving dinner for just Tim and I. It was yummy, if I do say so myself! Thankfully Mark, Tiffani, and the boys stopped by on their way home for a few games and some pie. It rained and even snowed a little yesterday. Time to take down the Thanksgiving decorations and get ready for Christmas.

I saved some sweet potato souffle for Tiffani,
I think she was grateful!

Thanksgiving Eve...

When I have a day off from work, I always think about spending a little extra time with the Grands. Today we had a leisurely lunch and then since it was a warm November day, we walked around the outlet stores. I wanted to show Cash, Colby, and Grey the tallest Christmas tree in Utah. It was a delightful day. We laughed and tried not to sing Christmas song. I tease the boys that we can't sing Christmas songs until after Thanksgiving! I'm very, very thankful for Cash, Colby, and Grey.
(Cash took most of these pictures and I can tell he enjoys it).

Who doesn't eat egg drop soup with chopsticks!

 Tree facts... 6,000 ornaments!

I really like this picture that Cash took, you can see his reflection in the silver ornament.
