Love like Jesus...

 

My favorite talk from general conference this weekend...

Jesus Christ is the perfect embodiment of love. Love is the centerpiece of His gospel and the essence of being like Him. Love can positively influence those who have strayed.

“Love is not stepping back or sanctioning others’ decisions and actions. Love is being interested in their lives, their successes and their challenges.

Love is being there with arms outstretched and a cheerful countenance. Love is lifting with faith and hope in our Lord and Savior.”

Let go of guilt and remember that Jesus Christ is always the answer. “He has already paid for the sins and errant choices of all of God’s children, including those for whom you grieve. He knows them. He knows their hearts; He loves them. He gave His very life to bring them home, all the way home.”

“I ask you to turn over to Jesus Christ your despair for those wayward souls. We cannot change their hearts, but He can; He is a God of miracles.”

A new season...

Our sweet Cashee boys first high school dance! And I have to say... he looked very handsome!

He shined up the family van and was already for the HOCO dance. Cash, Gabby and the rest of his friends had a delicious dinner in the neighbors backyard that is just down the street. It was a perfect Fall evening complete with a full moon! 

It's such a special thing to watch Cash step into this new season of life-making memories, growing up, and experiencing all the fun that comes with being a teenager. I'm also very grateful we can watch it all unfold.

Cash told me he had such a fun time with Gabby and his other friends.

The day after the Homecoming dance Cash got an invitation from another girl to the Sadie's dance!

Take 2...

So, a few weeks ago Grandpa invited Cash to go with him to an airshow. Grandpa got the dates mixed up, it happens, and he was a week early. Cash was such a good sport about it and they ended up having breakfast together. No matter what they are doing Grandpa enjoys spending time with Cash.

Grandpa, Cash, and Grey had a great time the following Saturday at the airshow. It meant so much to Tim to have his grandsons with him. Cash and Grey both told me they had a lot of fun so everything turned out just as should!
