Progress #11 ~ Windows and Insulation...

I love the windows that Mark and Tiffani chose for their new home!

Brothers...

Colby adores Cash and most of the time Cash feels the same way!

They were so proud of the soup they just made.

Two brothers who love each other... a lot.

TBT ~ Throwback Thursday... Federer and Ames families

... More pictures that Mom had. They were taken in the front yard of Grandpa and Grandma Ames's house in Cheyenne.

Uncle Bill, Aunt Louise, Uncle Clarence, Aunt Helen waving her hand, Aunt Mildred, Grandpa Ames, Grandma Ames, Aunt Barb, Uncle ?, my brothers Ernie and Lloyd, cousins Scott, and not sure of the other two, my brother Kenny, my sister Roseanne, cousin Carol, my brother Les, me in the blue jacket, and my brother Ernie. I'm not sure who is sitting by Les. I think Mom is holding my cousin Suzie. Mom was so pretty!

I was a cute little girl!

Kenny sticking his tongue out makes me laugh. I'm sure he was a handful! I have no memory of this, but I sure love these pictures. I was probably 3 or 4 years old, so this was around 1961.

Words to live by ~ Decisions...

"Decisions are constantly before us which can determine our destiny. In order for us to make the correct decisions, courage is needed—the courage to say no when we should, the courage to say yes when that is appropriate, the courage to do the right thing because it is right."      ~ Thomas S. Monson

Progress #10 ~ Taking shape...

The Williams family home is really taking shape. It's seems like it's always cloudy when I stop by!

Front door is on and it looks great.

"Happiness often sneaks in through a door you didn't know you left open."
~ John Barrymore

What a beautiful home, it will be finished in no time.

The backyard will be so perfect for Cash, Colby and ?? to run around and play! Planting a few trees will give them some privacy.

Windows!

I know someone who has really wanted a fireplace! I know Tiff will be sitting nearby a lot!

This will keep everyone warm.

Lovely entry way...

The views... just can't get over how gorgeous the views are from every area of their home!

There's Mark, Tiff, Cash and Colby's current home in the distance.

 Stunning!

Hopeful...

Lee opened a kiosk at the University Mall yesterday. I wanted to show my support, so I stopped by to see him. I hope and pray he has success selling his line of Pretend Wear. It's playtime apparel that can be colored, washed and colored again. Lee has worked so hard and is very clever. I want this to be his moment.

  Best of luck Lee!

Back to school...

The summer of 2014 will always be the "Summer of Mom." I was gone most of June and half of July to be with Mom. That was exactly where I was suppose to be and where I wanted to be. But it made summer seem so short and I'm back to school again.

The new junior high addition was finished just days before school started. It's even better than I imagined it would be. It's nice to have our own building and to not be sharing one with the elementary. I'm sure all the elementary teachers and students feel the same way!

I miss Mrs. Otto, we were a perfect match. I have a new teacher, Mr. Kano. He is a great guy. I like his style and he seems to love what he does. I can tell he will be a favorite of the students. He is very motivated and has several degrees, including a masters. His goal is to get administrative certification and be a principle. He plans to teach only one year at Lincoln.

The room I was in last year had NO windows. I love our new room. It has two large windows with a beautiful view of the mountains!

The classrooms are larger and so clean for now.

Sometimes it's very quiet.

And other times not so much.

Holley helps Mr. Kano with student council.

I have a nice desk and a real chair. Last year I had a folding chair.
Some of the students felt sorry for me!

Mr. Kano is big into teaching grammar. I will be copying a lot of worksheets from this notebook!

So I get to spend the next 177 days with this group, lucky me!
They are really good kids.

Preschool... Preschool...

Well Cash had another milestone in his life. I can hardly believe that he started preschool on Tuesday. We had a long talk about how it went the next day. He likes his teacher Mrs. Eggley and had a good day. He handled it like a champ!

The room is decorated so cute and inviting. I thought about him all morning and even had a few tears. He's just growing up so fast. Sweet, handsome and smart!

TBT ~ Throwback Thursday... Family

Always my family... Dad, Mom, Marion, Kenny, Lloyd, Me, Roseanne and I think Pete our dog. Dad had recently added a family room and garage to our homestead. Not sure where Ernie and Les were.

Life...

Oh this boy is so delightful. He loves to try new things, and why not make a little lemonade with a squeeze of orange juice as well.

I pray everyday that Cash will have a good life. I know there we be difficult times but he will turn them around with his positive attitude. He's not one to give up. He's a smart cookie and will figure things out along the way.

TBT ~ Throwback Thursday... Dad

I found this picture of Dad in some of my Mom's things. I love this picture so much. He is riding his beloved Buckskin horse Fly Baby. This was a Frontier Days parade, I wish I knew what year. Dad was a real cowboy, but certainly not his best title. Fly Baby had many foals and we gave them all bug names... Mosquito, Horse Fly and Butterfly. Silly! Butterfly would follow us around like a puppy dog. You would turn around and her nose would be right in your face!

How handsome was my Dad!?!

Words to live by ~ Charity...

Charity is having patience with someone who has let us down. It is resisting the impulse to become offended easily. It is accepting weaknesses and shortcomings. It is accepting people as they truly are. It is looking beyond physical appearances to attributes that will not dim through time. It is resisting the impulse to categorize others.

Charity has been defined as “the highest, noblest, strongest kind of love,... "But charity is the pure love of Christ, and it endureth forever; and whoso is found possessed of it at the last day, it shall be well with him. ~ Moroni 7:47

See that ~ Progress #9 Roof...

Sometimes when Colby see something that he thinks is fun and exciting he will say, "See that!" That's how I felt when I saw Mark and Tiff's home today. The roof is on and it's coming along nicely.

 The back view...

In the distance you can see the roof of Mark and Tiffani's home. It's the view from their current home. Cool right!?!
“May you always have walls for the winds, a roof for the rain, hot chocolate beside the fire, laughter to cheer you, those you love near you and all your heart might desire.”
