Sunny days...

The weather was usually warm last week,
more like May temps than March.

We love it when Christopher stops by after he's been to his office near Thanksgiving Point. He always makes a delicious meal!

Cash is a good big brother, several times during the evening I found him playing games with Grey.

Grahm was so frustrated with this whirlygig that Lee gave the boys. He kept trying and finally figured out how it works. He played with it for a long time.

Determined!

Jack-Jack likes his new toy but it wore him out! He's a cute pup.

Fun visit with Uncle Chris!

My happy place!

Puppy love!

I was talking with Colby after piano lessons. We had dinner and I asked him what his favorite food is. He said sushi and told us that it's been a long time since he's had sushi. He then said, "COVID has messed up a lot of things." I want to take him for sushi soon!

Grey designed another game. It has instructions and each piece has something he drew on it. I'm sure it took awhile to make it. It was lots of fun to play with him.

It's such a pleasure to teach Colby and Grey piano. I'm far from being qualified but I teach them what I know. Colby can play by ear and memorize songs so fast. As soon as he learns to sight read, they'll be no stopping him. Grey played a song with both hands and is learning the notes. Sometimes he sings along while playing a song. When I tell him he did good he smiles big, and does that giggle that I love so much.

I'm grateful for sunny days and my people!

The best medicine...

“The best antidote I know for worry is work. The best medicine for despair is service. The best cure for weariness is the challenge of helping someone who is even more tired.”

Hold on to them with faith...

...we need to constantly watch over each other. We must love one another and be less judgmental—especially when our expectations are not immediately met. We should help our children and youth feel the love of Jesus Christ in their lives, even when they struggle to personally feel love for themselves. Elder Orson F. Whitney, who served as a member of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, counseled parents how to help struggling offspring: “Pray for your … children; hold on to them with your faith.” (Orson F. Whitney, in Conference Report, April 1929)

I have often pondered what it means to hold on to them with faith. I believe it includes simple acts of love, meekness, kindness, and respect. It means allowing them to develop at their own pace and bearing testimony to help them feel our Savior’s love. It requires us to think more about them and less about ourselves or others. That usually means speaking less and listening much, much more. We must love them, empower them, and praise them often in their efforts to succeed and be faithful to God. And finally, we should do everything in our power to stay close to them—just as we stay close to God.

Goofballs and Games...

My favorite goofball sons went to hear Jordan Peterson speak. They had a good time and it makes me happy when they have a chance to hangout together.

I read "12 Rules for Life" and it was interesting.
I still remember Rule #1.

Stand Up Straight With Your Shoulders Back

And then it's that gift that comes almost every Friday when we have several hours with our grandson's. I didn't take too many pictures, but is was a calm night with lots of games and hugs.

Colby found a cool bamboo stick.

Colby is excited to play baseball, the Arizona Diamondbacks!

I need to get a picture of Cash next time! We love you Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm.

Grand-dog and family time...

Cash, Colby, and Grey, and Grahm have wanted a dog for awhile and their wish came true Saturday. Mark found the boys a beautiful golden retriever. After a family vote, they named him Jack. He's very sweet and I love him already. Jack will be a great companion for the boys.

We had a nice family dinner on Sunday and I had the day off on Monday. There is nothing I would rather do than be with my family.

Grey lost another tooth and Grahm is so silly!

The warmer weather sure was wonderful!

I am so grateful for my family and all my blessings.
