Christmas list...

As you grow older, your Christmas list gets smaller; the things you really want for the holidays can’t be bought.

 Watermelon drink looks delicious!

I remember when Vivian made this cabbage dish for us.

You look good Chris, you better come home now.

I am thankful moments...

Sometimes I have moments that fill my heart with so much gratitude and joy. It's usually just a small thing, but it's something I don't want to forget. I had some of those moments today.

Today Tiffani sent me a text while I was at school. She asked me if I could stay with Colby and Grey so she could go to Cash's school for the Thanksgiving feast. Of course I was happy to do that.

I played games with Colby and we talked. It really is wonderful to have one on one time with the grands. I asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he said, "I want a dragon and a robot that can clean my room. That would be awesome." Then he said, "I really, really, really want a dog." Maybe some of those wishes will come true.

I love his sweet face. He showed me the "I Am Thankful" hat he made at church.

He took about a gazillions selfies on my phone!

I heard Grey and went upstairs to get him up from his nap. I opened the door to his room and said peek-a-boo. He jumped up and I gave him a big hug.

Tiffani sent these picture from Cash's Thanksgiving Feast. He sure is handsome. He came home from school and showed me all his school papers. He works hard and is smart boy.

I really am so grateful for all the wonderful moments I have with my family.

Gratitude...

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.”

THE END IS COMING...

There are two of these billboards along the freeway. I saw them on the way the Christopher's house. I'm not sure what to make of it. If the end is coming, I have a lot to do before Wednesday.

I went to check on Christopher's house and get his mail today. I don't like it when he is not there. I am happy he got to take a trip and see Thailand, however I will be more happy when he's back home. I made it home just in time to see this beautiful sunset.

We usually have Cash, Colby, and Grey on Friday's, but not this time. I really missed seeing them. Friday was not the same.

More of Cash's Creations...

Cash used the blocks from the Don't Break the Ice game to make some of his original creations!

 Grandpa really liked this one!

Gratitude and Thanksgiving...

Great men have always recognized the greatness of God and their dependence upon him, and they have with regularity rendered to him gratitude and thanksgiving.
"Consider these words written by Abraham Lincoln as part of a resolution in 1863:
"'We have been the recipients of the choicest bounties of heaven; we have been preserved these many years in peace and prosperity; we have grown in number, wealth, and power as no other Nation has ever grown. But we have forgotten God. We have forgotten the gracious hand which preserved us in peace and multiplied and enriched and strengthened us, and we have vainly imagined, in the deceitfulness of our hearts, that all these blessings were produced by some superior wisdom and virtue of our own. Intoxicated with unbroken success we have become too self-sufficient to feel the necessity of redeeming and preserving grace, too proud to pray to the God who made us.'"
~President Marion G. Romney, "Gratitude and Thanksgiving" October 1982

Colby...

Nothing can diminish the sweetness of his face, not even a big old goose egg and bruise.

 I love you Colby!
