Thanksgiving - walk it off...

WALK IT OFF!

crackers and cheese ball, cranberry salsa, sparkling cider,
orange pomegranate salad, stuffing, turkey, cranberry sauce,
mashed potatoes, gravy, green been casserole,
sweet potato souffle, sauteed brussel sprouts, dinner roll,
small slice of pumpkin roll, cherry pie, eggnog cheese cake, whipped cream...

that comes to over 2500 calories to walk it off, I need to walk for 20 miles, 32.25 kilometers, or 40,000 steps, so I got up this morning with no regrets for what I ate yesterday and proceeded to try to "walk it off!"

Moments to remember from Thanksgiving 2012

Cash and I were watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade when I heard the announcer say that the next band was from Wyoming.

I grabbed my camera and took a few pictures of the Wyoming All-State Marching Band.

The band had 245 high schoolers from 36 schools around Wyoming. I loved the red and blue shirts and white cowboy hats. Of course they played Western music - the theme from "The Magnificent Seven," "Ghost Riders in the Sky," "Silverado," and the University of Wyoming's fight song, "Ragtime Cowboy Joe. "Their music was heard by more than 2 million people who lined the parade route. An estimated 45 million people watched the parade on television. The last time a Wyoming band marched in the parade was in 1995.

 So proud!

Cash is a little troubled by the turkey, can't say that I blame him!

Some fun before dinner

We are so blessed

Cash liked having his very own glass of sparkling cider!

Colby's first Thanksgiving!

A little surprise from Grams for Cash and Colby...

Cash helping put feathers on our Thankful Turkey!

A lot to be thankful for this year.

Nice work Cash!

Relaxing after dinner

Well, if you can't walk it off you can always try sleeping it off!

Countdown to Thanksgiving... Day 22

Last but certainly not least, I am thankful for my sons!

Yes, we were canning in November! Last week a friend of mine gave us some Dilly Beans and pickled beets. Chris thought they were delicious and wanted to can some for us. He's never afraid to try new thingsthat's just one of the many things I love about him.

Christopher found some fresh green beans and beets at Harmon's and we spent the evening canning. It was fun and I love spending time with him, it really doesn't matter what we are doing.

Success... not worried about going hungry this winter!

It warms my heart to see Mark with his sons. We went to a train show last weekend and it was fun seeing Cash's reaction to all the choo-choo trains.

 Lego's!

A real steam locomotive!

Thomas!

I'm always grateful for any opportunity I have
to be with my family, it was a fun Saturday outing!

Christopher and Mark,

Three little words could never fully express the contents of my heart, what I feel for you both feels like so much more.

To the moon and back, dear sons.
I love you,
Mom

Countdown to Thanksgiving... Day 21

Today I am thankful for my Daughter-in-Law

 Tiff and Colby

Tiffani is the most loving and wonderful mother. I have seen her in action and she is a devoted parent. I am grateful she doesn't have to work. (Thank you Mark for working hard to provide for your little family.) Tiffani is patient, calm and even-tempered. She makes Cash and Colby feel so secure. It's wonderful to watch someone that has been blessed with the gift of Motherhood.

I want to thank you for our two amazing grandsons. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wonderful journey. Thank you for choosing Mark. I'm grateful for your unconditional love and that you are forever part of our family!
