Thanksgiving Brunch...

Tiffani suggested we get together for Thanksgiving brunch, since they were having Thanksgiving dinner in Park City this year. I know we see Mark and family often but it really was so nice to be together for Thanksgiving!

Tiffani made a delicious breakfast casserole, Mark made yummy waffles, and I made cinnamon rolls. We all wrote down on a leaf what were were thankful for and Cash offered a sweet prayer. I haven't heard him pray for awhile and it brought tears to my eyes.

Prettiest photo bomber!

Colby has been wishing it would snow for days!

There were snow flurries off and on and it was a cozy winter day. I'm so very grateful for my family. Thanksgiving is a wonderful way to usher in the Christmas season.

Trust the Lord and move forward...

There are many questions the Lord has yet to reveal answers to. Some of these questions may concern conditions or relationships in the spirit world or in the kingdoms of glory. In all circumstances, the best solution is to trust the Lord and move forward.

Truths that are known about the spirit world include the following: spirits will live on after death, the righteous spirits will be divided from the wicked, and most important, the work of salvation continues there. All spirits —- righteous and wicked — are under some form of bondage in the spirit world.

Righteous converted souls are in bondage as they wait and “perhaps even be allowed to prompt” their proxy ordinances on earth. The wicked suffer an additional bondage as they are in spirit prison, bound by their unrepentant sins. The scriptures teach that resurrection is assured for all and will occur at different times for different groups.

Our only sure reliance is to trust in the
Lord and His love for His children.

His promises are sure...

I invite you to commit to a lifelong process of discipleship. Make and keep covenants. Throw your old ways into deep, churning waterfalls. Completely bury your weapons of rebellion with no handles sticking out. Because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, making covenants with a real intent to reliably honor them will bless your life forever. You will become more like the Savior as you always remember Him, follow Him, and adore Him. I testify that He is the firm foundation. He is dependable, and His promises are sure.

Birthday love... Part II

My heart is so full. I took the day off from school and all day long I had several texts, (thanks Mark), birthday wishes on Facebook, phone calls, flowers delivered, neighbors stopping by, and best of all the birthday elves snuck in and decorated the house. They also left several lovely gifts and a beautiful card. I could not stop the tears when I came in and saw that Tiffani, and the boys had spread some more birthday love.

Chris called me from the Philippines, it made my day to talk to him.

I started the day with a walk. I have always been grateful that I was born on Veteran's Day. I love seeing the streets lined with flags. Veterans Day was originally called “Armistice Day” and was celebrated on November 11, 1919, the first anniversary of the end of World War I. Congress passed a resolution in 1926 for an annual observance, and November 11 became a national holiday beginning in 1938. I honor my Uncle Marion who died fighting to protect our freedom.

Beautiful flowers from my friend Billie. Even with all that's going on in her life, she still took time to order flowers and give me the sweetest card.

I enjoyed one of my favorites, walnut shrimp, went shopping, and made dinner for Billie and Rulon. What could be better than giving service on your birthday!

I cherish the homemade cards that Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm made me.

Get your errand from the Lord...

“Get your errand from the Lord.” Heavenly Father is eager to answer prayers that allow His children to help one another. Pray and ask the Lord for an errand and He will “use your ordinary skills to accomplish His extraordinary work.” The Lord will send revelation to those who seek diligently to help others.

Birthday love...

The best gift is being with family to celebrate my birthday. We had a lovely afternoon with Mark, Tiffani, and the boys. Tiffani made delicious lettuce wraps and pumpkin pie for dessert. I would much rather have pie than cake.
I loved the homemade cards that Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm made for me.
I will keep them forever!
Thanks for the birthday love.

I finally got to hear Grahm sing "Happy Birthday to Grandma."

Thankful...

I don't like daylight savings time but Grahm was thrown off his sleep pattern a little so that turned out to be a good thing for me. Usually he's about to take a nap when I come get the boys for Grandma Day, but he had just woke up so he could go with us! I liked that a lot. We took advantage of the warm November weather and went to the park in Alpine. Grandpa met us there and we played for several hours. I had such a happy feeling and felt so thankful for Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm. We are so blessed, really so blessed that we can see them often.

Everyone got a little dizzy spinning around, even Grandpa. I got dizzy just watching them!

Cash was digging for a buried treasure and he found a monster truck!

Colby may need to go on a diet!

Sand angel!

I asked the boys to sit on the bench that Grandpa made for a quick picture. I told them to be silly and it makes me smile over and over when I look at these pictures.

My favorites... Cash.Colby.Grey.Grahm!
It was Colby's idea to sit from oldest to youngest. Colby is so loving and immediately had his arm around his brothers. Grey said, I will make sure Grahm doesn't fall. What a great picture.
So thankful...
