Thirty years...

Since the passing of Glenn, Johnnie Belle, and Jeff, we have been going to cemetery to honor them on Memorial Day. Glenn passed in 1991 so that's about thirty years. Glenn and Johnnie Belle's posterity is nearing 107! Those who can gather differs each year but I'm grateful we have made this a tradition. It was raining and cold so we huddled up together and shared the love.

Tim and I also placed flowers at Brad's and Big George's grave. We miss them and have faith, and hope that we will be reunited again one day.

Things we can learn from a dog...

We could all learn a lot of life lessons from our dogs.

Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride.

Delight in the simple joy of a long walk.

When loved ones come home, always run to greet them.

Eat with gusto and enthusiasm.

If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it.

Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy.

Be loyal.

Run, romp and play daily.

When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by and nuzzle them gently.

Avoid biting when a simple growl will do.

When you’re happy, dance around and wag your entire body.

No matter how often you’re scolded, don’t buy into the guilt thing and pout…run right back and make friends.

When it’s in your best interest, practice obedience.

Let others know when they’ve invaded your territory.

Take naps and stretch before rising.

Never pretend to be something you’re not.

On hot days, drink lots of water and lay under a shady tree.

Yes, we can all learn a lot from our dogs.

We love sweet Jack!

Memorial Day weekend fishing...

It was a beautiful morning so Grandpa took Cash and Grahm fishing. Grahm was so excited he caught a fish!

Soccer Star...

Grahm's last soccer game... we sure loved watching this happy boy play. I think he's got a good chance of being very athletic. He runs after the ball and knows how to turn it, and made a lot of goals. I'm a little sad it was Grahm's last game. We love this little soccer star so much.

ThrowBack Thursday - Mud is good for the soul...

I love these pictures of Cash and Colby playing in the mud. Colby in his diaper and his reaction to the cold water is priceless.

Picnic and Piano...

Sometimes after I picked up Colby and Grey for piano lessons, we grab a bite to eat, and if the weather is nice we play at a park. This is one of our favorite parks and it was so beautiful today. The grass was freshly cut and it smelled so nice. The mountain views are amazing. I love piano days and spending time with Colby and Grey.

THE LEOPARD’S LIE...

During the 1940s and 1950s, an American prison warden, Clinton Duffy, was well known for his efforts to rehabilitate the men in his prison. Said one critic, “You should know that leopards don’t change their spots!”

Replied Warden Duffy, “You should know I don’t work with leopards. I work with men, and men change every day.”

We need to bear in mind that people can change.

...we have the responsibility to see individuals not as they are but rather as they can become.

Catching up...

Highlights from the past week or so...

The last few days at school were a little crazy with some fun on the side. For many years Mr. Proetel has grilled up savory German brats with all the fixings. He grew up in Germany but has lived in Utah for about twenty years. He even had German music playing. Mr. Proetel is so kind and generous. The students like him and so do I.

I was headed outside for lunch and caught a glimpse of Kindergarten graduation, they are so cute.

My Dream Team

Logan ~ Jeneane ~ Jeanne ~ Lauren ~ Mindy ~ Jeanette ~ Me ~ Walker

We have collectively subbed over 200 times and fulfilled many other responsibilities this school year. I love this group and I showed my appreciation with some orange rolls!

I love Mr. Corless, he has become a good friend. He is a favorite teacher among the students. He has had a difficult year since he son was diagnosed with kidney cancer at three months old. Through many fundraisers at the school, we were able to donate over $50,000 dollars to help with medical expenses. We are all still praying the little Mikey will be cancer free in the near future. He will celebrate his first birthday next month.

I have enjoyed being an aide for Mrs. Petersen. She is so organized and is one of the best teachers at our school. She gave me a huge gift basket with all the stuff to make smores. She said I could share this with my grandsons and I did! I love Nicole, she's a dear friend.

Silly students!

I really enjoy Spring sports season. I'm sad it's coming to an end. We love watching the Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm play soccer and baseball.

Grahm's fan club!

Grahm scored a lot of goals!

High five's for the other team.

It was a beautiful day to watch Cash play soccer.

Ryder and Cash

I love Cash so much. He's taller than me! I'm so grateful I have had a front row seat to watch him grow up. It's happening so fast!

More Friday fun!

Grahm likes to play with the pirate treasures.

Colby and Grey did a great job painting these wreaths!

Spinning tops in the tub, why not!

Best friends!
