Wordless Wednesday ~ April Showers...

Our soccer star and some of his fans...

Cash had his first soccer game of the season on Tuesday. He was excited to play and did great. He even scored his first goal!

Cash's cleats were to small so Colby inherited them. He liked watching Cash play. He would clap and say, "Good job Cash." Colby had a few tears and told me he wanted to play too.

What a difference a year makes!

3rd Grade...

I did something a few weeks ago that I never imagined I would ever do... I taught 3rd grade. It was a lot of fun. The students were delightful and very helpful. They were polite, energetic, and sometimes they were loud. They were well behaved for the most part. Well except when a boy got mad at the girl sitting next to him, and scribble all over her paper!

There is a boy in the class named Colby! He was blond with freckles and so cute! There are also twin girls named Journey and Zion.

 

The class motto is: "Awesome ends with me. Everything I do deserves my best effort. I do my best. Everything deserves effort." The class repeats this every morning.

I enjoyed reading a book to them called "My Father's Dragon." A girl left a note on my desk that said, "your nice, your awesome, you look nice today, your pretty."   

I managed to do everything on the lesson plan. I must admit I was exhausted by the time 2:30 came. I admire all teachers, they work so hard.

A few weeks later I saw one of the boys in the class and he said, "Hi remember me, I'm Zedrick." That made me smile.

By the way, I think I could have been a good teacher.

Words to live by... We have so much...

Friday Cash offered the blessing on the food. He always gives beautiful prayers. In his prayer he said , "Thank you for all we have." After the prayer we were talking and he said, "I said thank you for all we have, because we have so much." It brought tears to my eyes. We spent some time counting all our blessings. He is a very sweet and thoughtful boy.

 Christopher's got his yard all trimmed and cleaned up! It looks much better!

A little house warming gift from Mom.

We also hung some new drapes.

We went to Pottery Barn and found some new dishes and silverware. Very nice!

It's been fun helping Chris get his new place fixed up. 

He says it was a house, but it's a home now.

I think we might have an aspiring photographer on our hands. The day we went to the temple, Cash asked me if he could take some pictures. I was impressed with how good they were. So enjoy all these shots!
