Fun day with Grey...

Grey has patiently waited for his turn to go on a birthday date. I really love this tradition. Grey has so much personality, he's a real charmer!

Grey chose to go to the Butterfly Aquarium. He has called the aquarium the "butterfly aquarium" since last summer when I took the boys to see the butterfly exhibit. It's a much better name than The Loveland Living Planet Aquarium anyway!

Grey was excited to watch the turtles having some lunch.

I never pressure the boys to do anything that makes them uncomfortable. Last time we were at the aquarium, Grey did not want to hold a butterfly or touch the electric eel buttons that gives a little shock. This time he was so brave and tried both things without any prompting from me.

A little orange birthday treat!

As we were leaving the aquarium Grey spied some grasshoppers. He watched them hop for several minutes and one landed on his shirt. He thought that was pretty cool.

I asked him where he wanted to have dinner and he said, how bout you cook some noodles while I watch a show. Great idea Grey!

I'm so thankful for our precious grandsons and that we can see them often. We ended the night with Grandpa reading some books with Grey. Yes, another perfect day.

Fall fun...

I'll tell you what...on Thursday Colby wanted to make cookies and he really made them start to finish almost all by himself. The only part I had was to get the ingredients ready, then I told him the amounts. Grey also helped so much. It was the sweetest experience for me. It brought tears to my eyes several times. They were enjoying the moment and we had a lot of fun.

Grahm likes to read books with Grandpa.

Our awesome entrepreneurs giving it a go!

Mark's Mane Goo, it's about to sell like hotcakes!

My brother Marion's new bike, it's a three wheeler and much safer than the bike he had!

And last but not least a new soup to try, seriously what could I make with this? Great for cooking what?!

Peacemakers...

My patriarchal blessing says that I should be a peacemaker. I've tried to do that but I have failed many times. Peace in any form is really something to cherish.
"At this time I bless you with the Gift of Peace. This is a very choice gift and one which the world needs at this time. You will not only have peace of mind yourself, but will be able to spread it to all who you know. You are to love your brothers and sisters and your relatives. You will be a peacemaker among them."
My beloved friends, in our shared ministry of reconciliation, I ask us to be peacemakers—to love peace, to seek peace, to create peace, to cherish peace. I make that appeal in the name of the Prince of Peace, who knows everything about being “wounded in the house of [His] friends” but who still found the strength to forgive and forget—and to heal—and be happy.

Clean as whistle...

I will never forget today. When I saw my son Mark enter the baptismal font with his son Cash my heart was so full of gratitude. Cash's baptism day was wonderful, perfect, and lovely.

Grandpa snuck a few pictures...

I was honored and humbled when Tiffani asked me to speak on the gift of the Holy Ghost and to play the piano. I was grateful for the opportunity to prepare and focus on the important step that Cash was making. I really felt the Spirit strongly the days leading up to his baptism. I haven't played the piano for almost two years. The only thing I really miss from our home in Hidden Oaks is my piano. I went to the church to practice and I so enjoyed playing the Primary songs. I will always be grateful to Grandma Ames for giving me a piano when I was about ten years old.

I always tell the boys after they take a bath that they are clean as a whistle, and today Cash was washed clean as he followed the example of the Savior and was baptized. The good news of the gospel is that we can mess up and we can repent because of the Savior. I really want Cash to realize what the Atonement and Sacrament mean after we are baptized!

Tiffani made this sweet poster for Cash.

Perfect day! It was great. I’m so proud of Cash and the choices he’s making. He’s a really good boy. We love him so much!

Oh these brothers!
(Grahm was sleeping)
So blessed...

Grateful for family...

Sometimes I find it difficult to narrate the times we share with our family in my blog posts. I feel it in my heart however I can't express those feelings adequately. So just look at the pictures and you will see joy, happiness, some fun, a proud moment, love... just another wonderful Sunday, I'm so grateful for family.

 You did it Grey!
