Cash and More Cash...

Our pocket full of sunshine!!

Mark has got the wrapping skills down!

Happy Family!

This Grandma gig is absolutely fandoubletastic!

Christopher's birthday present!

Let me just pause for a moment to say how wonderful Pam is. She is a first responder... always the first to offer support. She is there for the good times and bad. She has a great capacity to love and serve.

Cash has a little red mark on his forehead. Mark says it's a check mark from Heavenly Father, approved and ready to go!

Cash (Mark calls him his "Little Lad") is home now and he just keeps getting cuter everyday. The forever family is happy to be home... there's no place like home.

I'm so proud of Mark and Tiff. They are a great team and wonderful parents!

Happy Birthday Christopher!

Uncle Chris

College grad

Lover of all things Asian

things i love about you:

September 18, 2010

That you were born on September 18th

Your ability to laugh at yourself

Your self confidence

You have the biggest heart

And your capacity for compassion and forgiveness is immeasurable

For that I am thankful

You have an endless amount of patience (for most things)

That you are a leader, not a follower

But you are not bossy

You are quick to apologize

and mean it

You will help me with anything

You need a lot of sleep

You know that I am not a perfect mother

And that’s okay

No one is

You have beautiful eyes

And an infectious smile

Everyday I am thankful that you are my son

You have a personality that other people gravitate towards

You love to cook

And enjoy dining out

You still ask me to buy your clothes

I

love

you

very

very

very

very

very

very

much

Phew.

Happy Birthday Christopher Glenn.

Cash - Mark

Does Cash look like his Daddy?

Cash Harrison

By the way Grandpa Tim won the "Guess when Cash will be born." Can you believe it?! Runners up were Pam and Marie! Thanks for playing.

Wow...

He is here and we are so thankful! Tiff and Mark went to hospital about 7:30 yesterday morning. After about 12 hours, she was not making any progress. With other concerns the doctor said that a c-section would be necessary.

Cash Harrison Williams was born about 7:30 last night. He weighs 7 pounds 4 ounces, 18 inches long and is just perfect.

He was having trouble breathing so he was put on a c-pap oxygen mask. He also had low blood sugar and had to have an IV but after a few hours everything was back to normal.

We got to see him get his first bath, he loved getting his hair washed.

Notice Mark in all the pictures, always a big smile on his face.

It was so fun to watch Mark, he never took his eyes off Cash. We tried to get him to turn around but this was all about his new son!

Clean as whistle and ready for Daddy to hold him.

He said to Cash, "Mommy is coming."

Finally Mommy gets out of recovery and this little family was reunited. Tiff is doing great, just a little tired.

I couldn't sleep last night. What a glorious, sacred experience to welcome this new little grandson. The word spoiling does come to mind. My life as grandmother is just beginning and holds so many great things to come, lots of secrets to be revealed and the making of some very special memories.

Our children were gifts given to us to cherish and to hold dear. Our grandchildren are icing on the cake, gifts given later in life to be enjoyed and loved. We are always parents, there when called upon and needed, always loving and being there when called to service. It's different with grandchildren, we are on the sidelines looking in, waiting to be invited, waiting to be involved. Lots and lots of love spilling over onto everyone, part of an extended family, what more could anyone ever want or need. The circle of life complete with all its components, a gift of joy in a sweet little baby.

Thank you to family and friends for sharing in our joy. Your gifts, phone calls and visits have meant so much to us. We love you!
I'm off to the hospital to hold my grandson.

Life goes on...

At this very moment, somewhere across the earth, the sun is rising on a new day. And somewhere else, the sun is setting on a day just completed. Dawn to dusk, day to night, we move forward along life's pathway.

The unrelenting pattern of sunrises and sunsets reassures us that life goes on. No matter what happens today, the sunset will bring the day to its natural close, and tomorrow's sunrise will welcome a new one. In the meantime, let us embrace more fully the present hour, whatever our season of life may be.

Sneak peak...

I am so excited to start working on another project. Aunt Bernice has trusted me with some postcards, quotes, stories and pictures that Grandma had saved. What a year this has been for me! I enjoyed compiling the book to honor Grandma and Grandpa and to celebrate the centennial anniversary of Grandpa filing his homestead claim. Now to have the chance to compile the quotes and stories that meant something to Grandma in a book, is icing on the cake! I also love quotes so when I read through the papers and cards Grandma saved, it warmed my heart.

So here are few of my favorites ~

The more you give the more you get

The more you laugh, the less you fret

The more you do unselfishly

The more you live abundantly

The more of everything you share

The more you’ll always have to spare

The more you love, the more you’ll find

That life is good and friends are kind

For only what we give away

Enriches us from day to day

That pretty much sums up the way Grandma lived her life.

I love these old photos!

I have 67 postcards and these are a few of my favorites ~

This one is to Grandma from her sister Mabel. I love it, she says "Be sure and have a big feed. Ha, Ha." Everyone loved Grandma's wonderful meals!

Looks like Grandma had a secret admirer!

This postcard says, "Dear Friend, If you don't get this card, let me know and I will send you another one." No signature, so who knows who sent it!

That's all for now... I will try to have to book ready by Christmas.

Quote for the Week - Mean people

I am grateful for all the kind people in my life because once in awhile you stumble across a mean one!
Never ever, ever...ever give a mean person power over you! It can actually suck the life blood out of you and if it goes on long enough you might, unintentionally, become exactly like them. Garner the strength, keep your self-respect intact and walk away...this may just put that mean troll right in their place or sad but true, they just may move onto their next 'victim'! Be at peace that you made the right decision for you.

Ready or not...

To celebrate the Labor Day weekend, Tim and I went to work to help Mark and Tiff with a few last minute details before Cash arrives. Tiff has a difficult time bending over so I did some cleaning while Mark and Tim did some things on Tiffani's honey-do list.

Tiff got a mirror that needed to be hung up. It really was a two man job.

"Stud" finders

Success and it looks great!

I love Mark and Tiffani's home. Tiff has added her special touch and it's fabulous.

The baby's room!!!
Tim and Mark hung the curtains.

Crib all ready

Darling nursery, only the best for our grandson!

Tiffani has high blood pressure and preeclampsia. She has a doctor appointment Tuesday and it's possible we will have a baby next week.

Tiff made these cute letters.

Everything is ready and that makes our little momma-to-be happy!

Seeing the car seat brought tears to my eyes.

Thanks for letting us help you today, it was so much fun!

Stay tuned for baby updates!
