ThrowBack Thursday ~ 9 years ago...

Cash visiting his pre-school back in 2014, fast forward about nine years. The time has flown by.

Cash started junior high this past week with a broken arm, darn it. His first week went well. Good news, his school is about 10 minutes from our house. He can walk for piano lessons or if he just wants to come over a few times a month. I hope he does, love you Cash!

It's gonna be a good year!

And I'll be glad when Cash get that big cast off!

Beloved weekend...

I do look forward to the weekend, Friday with the grands and now Fall soccer season.

Grahm sang a song he learned and we couldn't stop smiling!

"Down by the banks of the hankity-panky,
Where the bullfrogs jump from bank to bank-y,
With the Eeps, Ipes, Opes, Ops,
One falls in and goes ker-plop!"

Soccer Saturday!

We love watching Grahm play soccer. I tell him he can run as fast as lightening and he smiles!

Team cheer, I love this sequence.

Grizzly drew quite a crowd at the soccer game. He is irresistible!

Colby looking so handsome with his sun kissed hair!

New school for Colbs, Grey, and Grahm...

Colby, and Grey started school last week, and Grahm this week.  Have a great year my sweet boys!

We can't do it alone....

Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.
Exodus 18:18 KJV

You’re going to wear yourself out—and the people, too. This job is too heavy a burden for you to handle all by yourself.
Exodus 18:18 NLT

The wisdom that Moses' father-in-law Jethro imparted to him: you can't do this alone. You need help. Go, find honest people to be on your team. Empower them to make decisions and lead them well.

We can't do it alone. No matter how strong or capable we all try to appear to the watching world, we are only human. We have limitations and breaking points. We need each other. We are always better together.

Junior High...

Cash and Mark went to Mountain Ridge for a back to school night. Mark showed Cash around and they opened his locker. Cash has a handsome new haircut from his mom!

Cash catching the bus on his way to the first day of junior high.

Have a great year Cash!

Jakarta Indonesia...

Christopher was in Jakarta last week for meetings and exploring another new city.

Jakarta, Indonesia's massive capital, sits on the northwest coast of the island of Java. A historic mix of cultures – Javanese, Malay, Chinese, Arab, Indian and European – has influenced its architecture, language, and cuisine. The old town, Kota Tua, is home to Dutch colonial buildings, Glodok (Jakarta’s Chinatown) and the old port of Sunda Kelapa, where traditional wooden schooners dock. Population: 10.56 million (2020)

Airplane food and view from the plane!

Chris looking handsome in his fancy shirt!

The adventures continue for Chris!

Made in 1983!

Well, Mark is no longer 30 something. As of August 12th, he and Chris are both 40 years old!

It was just a few months after Chris was born that we found out Mark was on the way. It was a surprise for sure but also a very happy day. Mark was just in a hurry to join our family! I still remember what it felt like to hold him in my arms. I feel very blessed to be his mother.

We have always been proud of Mark. He was the Hope of America, soccer star at Lone Peak, assistant to the president on his mission, in the million dollar club, and more! Mark is very disciplined, fit, and handsome. He has worked hard to provide for his family and is a wonderful husband and father. We had a fun birthday breakfast complete cinnamon rolls. He says he likes them better than cake.

Big birthday card with forty pictures of Mark
 and some birthday wishes.

Happy Birthday to you!

Grizzly came to the party too and gave Cash some kisses!

I love you Mark, I wish you a happy and successful year!
