Spring Break close to home...

Spring Break didn't take me far from home but it gave me something better... extra time with my grandson's.

We have had a tradition to walk around the temple almost every Spring. The flowers are always so beautiful. Grey and Grahm took several pictures. I love holding hands with them as we stroll around the grounds.

Grahm saw a lady bug and being the insect lover he is, he wanted to get a picture. We are sure lady bugs bring good luck!

What a perfect day!

It was Grey's turn to choose where we would have lunch. He wanted to go to In-N-Out. It's always crowded but we found a front row parking spot and didn't even have to wait in line. We timed it just right!

It just so happens that a new Pinkbox is right next door so... we had to check it out!

How will we ever choose?

Grahm chose the donut that looks like poo! Grey got a Ube donut. He knew they were made from purple yams. We also got a maple bar and a maple old-fashioned in case the Ube didn't taste good. But surprise, it was yummy.

Colby called and he had finished his chores so we picked him up and headed to Nicklemania. I was happy Colbs could join us. And I got to see Cash for a second before he went outside to mow the law.

Games and more games. Colby, Grey, Grahm get along so well. Colby is always watching out for his brothers. It's very heartwarming.

Grahm is determined!

Grahm won 200 tickets on this game alone! He was happy.

Colby won a tiny hand and we never knew when it would show up!

Grey won a hand too!

The pool table is turning out to be a lot of fun.

Grahm used some of his tickets to get this awesome fire hammer.

I got a book that is written by Babs Castello. It's called "Did Your Mother Ever Tell You? Words of Wisdom, Wit, and Love." I follow Babs on FB. She's a former pre-school teacher, a home cook, a 77 year old grandma, and I enjoy her post. Colby read the book with feeling and I love the positive messages. It was the perfect bedtime story.

We’ve all heard old sayings like “Don’t cry over spilled milk” and “You catch more flies with honey than vinegar.” But did your mother ever tell you that it’s okay to cry over little things? And who wants to catch flies anyway?

Breakfast!

Grandpa got Grey his very own airplane. Grandpa gave him some lessons, Colby calls it "coaching." Grey is becoming an expert pilot. It's fun to watch him fly.

It was cloudy but you can see Grey's plane up in the sky!

We watched for a bit then went to the nearby park.

I'll say it again, Colby is a wonderful brother and Grahm is fearless.

A fun game of croquet.

Grahm still loves water balloons.

Grandpa shared his green popsicles and then just like it was time to take the boys home. The best part of any break is who you spend it with.

Always grateful...
