Colby chose JCW's for his birthday date, it's kinda our place. He enjoys a good burger! I love spending time with Colby. He's easy going, a real gentleman, and a whole lotta of fun. I love his kind face and warm smile.
We went shopping and Colbs picked out some new church clothes. He found two really nice ties and a Lego set.
Colby mentioned he wanted to see the first Toy Story on the big screen. I thought that was a great idea! What a wonderful afternoon. I sure love our newest teenager.
Grey asked if it's better to have an overbite or underbite!
Colby didn't ask for cake pops, he asked for cinnamon rolls. But we made cake pops in Foods class at my school and I thought it would be fun to try them. I also always enjoy cooking with the Grands. Grey is very precise and perceptive. He can read directions and follow them with exactness. This is not only helpful in following recipe but I know this will serve him well throughout his life. I give Grey all the credit that our first attempt to make cake pop turned out so well! I really love spending time with Grey!

We started our Sunday by attending Grey and Grahm's Primary program. It's the best Sunday of the year! It was a beautiful program with so many wonderful songs. My favorite was "I Will Find my Own Sacred Grove." Grey and Grahm sang with such feeling. They will remember the words to those songs years from now, and it will strengthen and comfort them. The Primary chorister was so fun. He used different props with some of the songs and it made the children smile.

Good job Grey and they were tasty too!

Away from all of the noise of the world
I will turn to prayer
For I know He's there
I will find my own sacred grove
Grey and Grahm shared their parts so well. I'm so grateful they are learning Gospel truths. I'm so proud of them!
Colby also asked to have his birthday dinner at our house. I hurried home and started decorating. It was another sweet family gathering for which I'm always so thankful for. Tiffani made one of Colby's favorite soups and it was delicious.

Colby is getting a phone!
I got this same card for Cash two years ago. It sings, "You're a teenager now."

After dinner and dessert...
The older I get, the more I realize that the real treasures in life are family moments-this month was filled with a birthday date with Cash and Colby, picking Grey and Grahm up from school, taking them to the Fall Festival at my school, having a sleepover, soccer and flag football games, making cake pops with Grey - Grahm and Grey's program at church, and a birthday party for Cash and Colby. I'm truly grateful for the simple days together.
We have two teenages now! I pray Cash and Colby will be blessed as they navigate the teenage years. I hope they will stay true to themselves and always choose good friends. I hope they will dream big. Mistakes will happen-I know they will learn from them and keep going. I hope they will discover that it's important to take care of their bodies. I hope they pray and ask for guidance when they need it. I hope they always know how much they are loved! Enjoy the journey my wonderful grandsons!
Happy Birthday Colby, we love you!
