With so much gratitude...

 Beautiful Christmas peonies from Christopher.

Colby wanted twice bakes and I was happy to make them!

Popping the Christmas Crackers scared Grizz a little so he was getting comfort from Mommy. Sorry Grizzly.

I asked the boys to help me with a Christmas Eve program. Grahm sang and signed the sweetest song from his school program. "The Smallest Gift of Christmas" is my new favorite Christmas song and he helped make it so!

The Smallest Gift of Christmas

You can close your eyes and wish, wishing for the biggest gift
Fly a rocket round the world looking for it
Something underneath your tree the biggest gift you’ve ever seen
But the smallest gift of Christmas can mean the most it’s true
And sometimes all you ever need is right in front of you
A present bigger than your house
A present bigger than your town
You can search the universe past every star
For something underneath your tree the biggest gift you’ve ever seen
But the smallest gift of Christmas can mean the most it’s true
And sometimes all you ever need is right in front of you
Because the smallest gifts of Christmas aren’t about the size they are
The biggest gift my every wish, is the gift that’s just big enough to fill my heart
So if your making a wish then wish for love, wish for love
Fly a rocket home and feel the love
And if you’re making a wish then wish for love, wish for love
Fly a rocket home and feel the love
Because the smallest gift of Christmas can mean the most it’s true
And sometimes all you ever need is right in front of you
And the smallest gifts of Christmas aren’t about the size they are
The biggest gift my every wish, is the gift that’s just big enough to fill my heart
Fill my heart, fill my heart…

 Grey read a thoughtful quote..
"When you see shepherds, may we remember to be humble.
When we see wise men, may we remember to be generous.
When we see the star, may we remember the Light of Christ, which gives life and light to all things.
When we see a tiny baby, may we remember to love unconditionally, with tenderness and compassion."

Colby was recently called to be the Deacons Quorum president. He shared his testimony about praying for guidance in choosing his counselors and secretary. He also said he wants to be a good leader and he will be. He met with the bishop on Sunday and said it was a good experience. We are so proud of Colby.

I asked Cash, our oldest grandson to read the Christmas story and then we sang "Silent Night." That was the highlight of the evening for me.

King Mark?!

Colby made the most amazing yule log. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious as well! Cash made the mushrooms, we sure have talented grandsons.

Grandpa and Grahm ended up playing downstairs and the others played a few games upstairs.

Grahm asked me to come quick because the toilet was smoking. He got me good. he's so much fun!

I am so grateful for my family, I love them dearly. I am also eternally grateful for the tender mercies of my Savior. No matter how many times I come up short or absolutely fail, He still saves me. His grace is always sufficient. One of goals I have next year will be to come even closer to the One whose birth we have been celebrating this Christmas season. With so much gratitude...
