I enjoy gathering with our family. I also have always enjoyed giving gifts. I love the twinkling lights and that we had a white Christmas. I was grateful Chris was home this year. This year was a mixed bag of emotions because I felt that I came up short. I had some ideas to make the Christmas season more meaningful but I didn't follow through. None of the feelings I had, have anything to do with not feeling so grateful. It also does not diminish the thoughtful gifts I received from friends, and from Tim and my sons.
I'm already thinking about next year. I want to keep some traditions and add some new ones. Mark and Chris both gave gifts that involved an experience and I want to do that as well. I want to redirect my focus. And I am looking forward to a new year!
With all that being said I have many happy memories from this Christmas season.
Christopher made one of his delicious meals Christmas Eve. It was an Asian inspired feast! Adrian joined us and we enjoyed visiting and playing a few games.
Christmas Eve
It's extra special when Christmas falls on Sunday. We enjoyed going to church with Mark, Tiff, and, family. It was great to see Cash pass the sacrament. Colby, Grey, and Grahm sang with the Primary. Colby even got to sing the Hallelujah Chorus with the choir, just the Halleluiah's, he said there are a lot of them! After church we stopped by to see what Santa brought the boys and gave Jack his gifts. Chris was thoughtful and got him one too! I think he has promptly destroyed most of them, he's a dog!
I snapped of picture of him while he was whipping some cream. It made me so happy to give him this gift!
