Grandchildren...

Grandchildren possess super powers. They can melt a human heart with a twinkle of an eye, create a smile from only a touch, and destroy the family room in 60 seconds.

Whenever I see my grandsons, I have an uncontrollable urge to fling open my arms, excitedly shout their names, and scoop them up for the tightest hug.

The magic word...

Thank You. 

My parents called thank you the "magic word" and I remember saying to Chris and Mark, "What's the magic word." I'm sure I've said that to my grandsons too. I still think thank you is magical.

A little thanks goes a long way.

I received an email inviting me to the Lincoln Board Meeting last Thursday. 

The invitation was unexpected but it meant a lot to me.

I went to the board meeting and met some of the board members. Mr. Hunt, the principal introduced me by saying, they call me the "Mary Poppins" of the school. Mrs. Merrill, the assistant principle then read some sweet comments from a few students and teachers. I was humbled and grateful for the recognition, and the sincere thanks for my contribution at school. I try everyday to support the administration, teachers, and students.

They gave me a gift card to Hobby Lobby too!

I also got two thank you's on my desk the week before.

Thank you really is the magic word!

Wow!

I have wanted to take Grahm to the aquarium to see the penguins for awhile now. Wednesday I decided to leave work early and take Grahm and Grey for a little adventure. I'm so glad I did, Grahm kept saying "wow" and he loved seeing all the creatures! Grey was so helpful and protective of Grahm. 

A new science building is under construction next to the aquarium. It looks very impressive, I can't wait to take the boys when it's finished.

Mr. Iguana really wanted to get a good look at Grey and Grahm. They watched him for several minutes, it was so cute!

We lost track of time while Grahm 
enjoyed watching the penguins swim past him!

Back at Grandma's for quick nap for Grahm, dinner, fun at the park, and a splash in the tub. 

Grahm let me know he can wash his hair all by himself! What a boy. 

Wow, what a wonderful day!

ThrowBack Thursday ~ Grandpa Ivan...

We don't know how much time we have left in our lives. 
We don't know when the lives of those around us may end.
It could be today.
It could be tomorrow.
Dad's tomorrow came way too soon.
I'm thankful for pictures that bring back happy of my Dad with Chris and Mark. He loved his grandsons.
I miss my Dad, I miss Grandpa Ivan.

We celebrated Colby's birthday 

yesterday with a fun dinner and lovely sunset walk.
