Another child of God has come home...

I listened to Billy Graham's funeral service today. It touched my heart to hear all his children pay tribute to their Daddy.

I especially enjoyed his son Franklin's remarks. He looks and sounds like his father. Franklin has taken upon himself his father's mission and has been preaching the gospel for many years.

Under a giant tent and speaking from behind the same pulpit his father used at his crusades, he quickly made it clear that he would honor his father by turning his funeral unto his last crusade.

He said, "We have come here today to honor a man of God." He asked the attendees whether they would be in Heaven like his father, should they die today. He told the 2,000 people gathered that there would be no better time, no better place, to ask God's forgiveness than at his father's funeral.

“The Billy Graham that the world saw on television, the Billy Graham that the world saw in stadiums was the same Billy Graham that we saw at home.”

"Billy's new address is Heaven, and my Father's greatest longing has been granted. He's in the presence of God."

Franklin went on to say that "on February 21st his Father was escorted by God's angels to the throne of God, and I can only imagine what it was like for my Father to step into Heaven, and there was the Lord Jesus Christ to say, 'Well done thou good and faithful servant.' There was the throne of God, can you just imagine that, my Mother, his Mother, his Father, friends clapping, cheering, bells ringing, trumpets blowing... not because it was Billy Graham, it's just another child of God coming home."

"I'll see you again Daddy, to God be the glory."

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life:
no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
