School Days ~ last week...

The last week of school was crazy. Assignments were turned in, grades recorded, students were loud and the teachers were tired. We watched a lot of movies, had parties, moved boxes and cleaned up the classroom. We also had the annual teachers vs. students basketball game. I didn't stick around to see who won, but neither side showed any mercy!

I was terrified to go back to work, it had been 30 years since I worked outside the home. But Mrs. Otto and the other teacher assistants were so patient and kind. They eased my fears from day one.

Our room, it looks so empty now.

My desk... I learned a lot about myself this year. I know I can do hard things if I have to.

Two of the best teachers this side of the Mississippi! It was a pleasure to help Mrs. Larsen and Mrs. Otto this year. I was officially Mrs. Otto's T.A. but I enjoyed helping Mrs. Larsen too. I am so sad Mrs. Otto won't be coming back in the Fall. She's off to BYU to get her masters in creative writing. She is a wonderful women... so genuine, loving, fun, smart and sweet. She appreciated everything I did.

My school peeps, the finest group of women to work with. Victoria, Carol, Consuelo and Ari, were are a good team!

I was the grandma of the group, but I didn't feel old around them!

It was a pleasure to get to know Candy. She is sweet and smart. Candy teaches band and choir. She did a great job, and is very talented.

Candy told me all the things she had to do the last day of school. She had some instruments that needed to be repaired and didn't really have time to take them to the music store. I told her I would do it and she couldn't have been more grateful. It's not everyday you have a tuba in the front seat of your car!

My friend Shawn, he made me laugh everyday!

Yearbook signing, tears were shed!

Consuelo and I signing a few yearbooks! Mrs. Larsen and her staff did a great job.

I even made it in the yearbook, and it's such an attractive picture!

The addition is coming along nicely. I know the junior high students are excited to have their own building.

There is so much to do before before school starts again in August.

School is out for the summer, yahoo!!!
