Good times continued... play in the leaves!
It's been a beautiful Fall here in Highland. The weather is gorgeous! So ... we spend lots of time outside enjoying it.
The one thing that we really enjoy is playing in the leaves with Cash. We love walking through the fallen leaves. Good times!
The leaves make a nice crunch as you walk on them. And you can kick them around and watch them fly! If you’re feeling real silly you can make a big pile of leaves and jump on it! Cash LOVES to do that!!
Yes ... it’s lots of fun to just play in the leaves.
Rake some leaves. Jump in the leaves. Throw the leaves around and watch them fly! Have fun playing in the leaves!

Quote for the Week ~ Love...
"We are created in the image of our heavenly parents; we are God's spirit children. Therefore, we have a vast capacity for love—it is part of our spiritual heritage. What and how we love not only defines us as individuals; it also defines us as a church. Love is the defining characteristic of a disciple of Christ."—Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Just 3 Words
ROOM BY ROOM
SHELF BY SHELF
CLOSET BY CLOSET
(My dream walk in closet!)
DRAWER BY DRAWER
"Order is heaven's first law"
~ Alexander Pope
I 'm reading a book called "Happier at Home" by Gretchen Rubin. (I also read another one of her books, "The Happiness Project"). “Of all the elements of a happy life,” she thought, “my home is
the most important.” In a flash, she decided to undertake a new
happiness project, and this time, to focus on home. She wanted to be happier at home, she wanted to appreciate how
much happiness was there already.
So, starting in September (the new January), Rubin dedicated a school year—September through May—to making her home a place of greater simplicity, comfort, and love. When I read a chapter in the book where it suggests that "outer order contributes to inner peace," it struck a chord with me so I have resolved to go room by room and consider what is useful and what I believe is beautiful and meaningful to me and my family. I consider myself an organized person but I realized that there was definitely room for improvement. I consider each possession... do I love it? ~ do I use it? Would I replace it if it were broken or lost? I sort everything, the keep/the donate/the toss piles. I have tackled four rooms and I don't think there is just one single way to do it, you just find what works best for you!
I really love our home, it's not perfect but it's a place of love, a place where we gather as family and memories are made. And it's becoming a place of more order, comfort and simplicity!
