My grandsons...

The light in my days
The sparkle in my smile

Grahm likes this TMNT jacket I got him!

The Navajo tacos were a big hit.

Gourmet hot chocolate!

Roll a snowman was a lot of fun!

Some handsome teenager got his learner's permit and Grandpa has been teaching Cash how to drive a stick shift!

Grey's frist time to do baptisms for the dead.

Always grateful for Grandma Days and this crazy warm winter weather. But I'm praying for rain or snow.

Saying goodbye to tubby time...

Bath time with my grandsons will always be one of my favorite moments. Splashing, giggles, floating toys, and that clean as a whistle smell that felt like pure love to me.

Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm would open the cabinet and start throwing the toys in the tub. I would usually bathe them two at a time.

Now the are too big for tubby time, except maybe Grahm, and that makes my heart a little sad. Not because I don't love who they are becoming, but because I loved that season so much. I guess it's time to retire the bath toys--but per Tiffani's request I'll tuck them away for future great-grandchildren. Some memories are too special to let go.

The Tupperware pitchers and cups were one that I got when Chris and Mark were small.

I gave the Mr. Bubbles to Grahm, he will still have fun with them in the tub! I called them Mr. Bubs and Grahm would ask for Mr. Bubs!

Sweet Colbs

Colby and Grey with almost all the bath toys! Sometimes when I would wash Grey's hair he would say, "Don't like it Grandma." I was always so careful not to get soap in their eyes.

Three of them in the tub, Grahm was so little.

Imperfect...

"Except in the case of His only perfect Begotten Son, imperfect people are all God has ever had to work with. That must be terribly frustrating to Him, but He deals with it. So should we. And when you see imperfection, remember that the limitation is not in the divinity of the work. As one gifted writer has suggested, when the infinite fulness is poured forth, it is not the oil’s fault if there is some loss because finite vessels can’t quite contain it all. Those finite vessels include you and me, so be patient and kind and forgiving."

Sacred space in my week...

Grahm is usually a little tired on Fridays. He relaxes for a bit then he's ready to go!

Pretending!

As time goes by, I really do see Grandma Day as a sacred little space in my week-a chance to serve my family, and be reminded of life's sweetest blessings. Fridays have deepened my gratitude and given me memories I'll carry forever.

I'm always so grateful that Colby still wants to walk to our house after school occasionally. I'm reminded often of how fleeting this season is and what a blessing it is to be with our grandsons.

Grahm was not happy with his partner when he missed a shot!

I teamed up with Grey for a round and we won!

Colby is always up for anything and is so fun. He put a balloon in his hood! I think I heard signs that his voice is changing... growing up too fast.

Christopher gave the boys some swords and shields several years ago and they still have fun playing with them, especially Grahm.

Monkey in the middle is always a favorite. We laugh a lot and are so happy when Grandpa has to be the monkey in the middle! It doesn't happen very often.

Colby is giving Grahm knighthood... Sir Grahm!

Mark and Tiff came to pick up the boys and they brought the doggies. I was so happy to see them. We were downstairs talking and I couldn't find Grizz and Ruby. I found them on our bed upstairs. That was their favorite spot when I took care of them last week.

Tim was showing Tiffani the linen/storage closet he built. It's so nice and I'm very grateful to have extra storage.
