Football in Wyoming...

My nephew Carl coaches the high school football team in Glenrock, Wyoming. They had a game Friday afternoon in Lyman, Wyoming. It's only a few hours away so Tim and I drove there to watch the game. It was windy as usual, so there goes the hair! Who cares?! It sure was great to see Carl and he was really happy we came.

Even though it was windy, it was a nice warm day. The Glenrock Herders ready to take on the Lyman Eagles!

Another win for the undefeated Herders!

The loved seeing the cows in the field!

Good luck Carl J, we hope you make it all the way to the state championship!

Text from Carl:
"Thank you so much for coming. I greatly appreciate it. Tell Tim thank you. Again thank so so so much for coming. Love you"

Text from Mark Kay:
"Aunt Eileen, :) So glad you guys were able to make the trip. Love you bunches"

Mary Kay also posted this on Facebook, I love my family.

Principles and Promises...

May we care for our bodies and our minds by observing the principles set forth in the Word of Wisdom, a divinely provided plan.

Tonight, brethren, I pray for the guidance of our Heavenly Father as I share my message with you.

In 1833 the Lord revealed to the Prophet Joseph Smith a plan for healthy living. That plan is found in the 89th section of the Doctrine and Covenants and is known as the Word of Wisdom. It gives specific direction regarding the food we eat, and it prohibits the use of substances which are harmful to our bodies.

Those who are obedient to the Lord’s commandments and who faithfully observe the Word of Wisdom are promised particular blessings, among which are good health and added physical stamina. ~ President Monson (October 2016 General Priesthood Session)

I thought it was interesting that President Monson spoke about the Word of Wisdom in the General Priesthood Session of Conference.

Happy memories...

Viewing past experiences positively can affect current state of happiness...
One of the happiest memories I have, that I often reflect on was the opportunity I had to tend my niece Cheyenne when her Mom was at work. I still remember hearing her shoes click across our wood floor. She called me Leen, and loved playing with Chris and Mark.

How I love this darling girl. On Friday Cheyenne became a mother to a 5 pound 12 ounce baby girl. Thankfully Peyton Brielle arrived safety. As I held her today, I felt again that when a baby is born it's always a miracle. When Cheyenne invited me to come to the hospital today, you know I got there as quick as I could!

Cheyenne had a fever, so just as a precaution they are giving Peyton some antibiotics.

She kinda smiled at me. I love you already Peyton!

First goal...

I didn't get a picture, but Cash scored his first goal at the soccer game on Saturday. Tim and I both had tears in our eyes, and Mark was so proud. Cash said no one was looking, so I kicked it in. He's great on defense and is also getting better at kicking the ball down the field. It was so fun to watch!

School picture...

The first of many school pictures. Cash is in Kindergarten, why do I still have a hard time believing that?! From all our conversations, it seems like he enjoys school. I'm so glad.

Tiffani posted Cash's school picture on Instagram. This comment made me smile. Caitlin is in Cash's Kindergarten class and her Mom takes them to school sometimes. I agree, he does have nice hair and is oh so dreamy.

Love you Cash

Circumstances and focus...

"The joy we have has little to do with the circumstances of our lives, and everything to do with the focus of our lives." President Nelson (October General Conference 2016)
