Random pictures...

Cash was playing peek-a-boo with Grey, it was so sweet.
Grey would smile and laugh!

Now where did I put the ball?!

Trying on BYU hats at Costco, Grandpa loves that!

Cash asked me to take a picture of his BIG bubble!

Who is this big boy that's pulling himself up on everything?!

Colby loves to play with the Pups!

When I ask if the boys can come play, Tiff usually sends a "Thumbs up" picture!
I love it.

Words to live by ~ Masterpiece...

“I challenge you to make your life a masterpiece. I challenge you to join the ranks of those people who live what they teach, who walk their talk.” – Tony Robbins

Ahhh, The grass is always greener...

Mark, Tiff, Cash, Colby and Grey have grass and it's beautiful.

Who knew seeing pallets of grass delivered could be so exciting!

Cash getting his gloves on so he can help Dad.

Tada, no more dirt and dust!

Colby inspecting to see if the job was done right!

The backyard is lovely too. It's complete with a trampoline,
fire pit and an area for a garden.

Jumping on the tramp when the sprinklers are on is always fun.

Hooray for grass!

Surprises in Sugar House...

Every time I visit Christopher and walk around his yard, I see something new. He has a lot of exotic flowers and plants and they are lovely!

Sunflowers are very exotic!

The grapes are getting big and they are yummy!

The zucchini plant is taking over the herb garden! Good thing we only planted one.

My brother Lloyd...

Lloyd giving Chris a horseback ride.

Lloyd giving Mark a horseback ride.

I really love my brother Lloyd. He is no nonsense kind of guy. He is loyal and kind. He gives people the benefit of the doubt but does not care for insincere people. He gives great advice and is a good listener. He learned to work hard from working along side my Dad and Grandpa. Lloyd has a great sense of humor, he comes up with the funniest one-liners. I wish I had written them down through the years. He will always be the first one to help when there is a need.

He's a wonderful father and grandfather.

Lloyd giving Chris a ride on Grandpa Federer's tractor.

Lloyd really loved and honored my Dad. He reminds me of him so much. He walks like him and has the same good qualities.

He also loved my Mom and took care of her.

I made a photo album of Mom's final days for Lloyd. It was thoughts from my journal and I added pictures. This was a text he sent, it meant a lot to me that he liked it.

Unfortunately Lloyd went through a difficult divorce several years ago. But he maintained a positive attitude through it all.

Lloyd has a new love in his life. I think they are a perfect match. Rhonda is so sweet and genuine.

I watched them when I was in Cheyenne last month. This is a face of a happy, content cowboy. Seeing them together makes me smile. I hope they grow old together.

Words to live by ~ Is it still wonderful to you?

To marvel at the wonders of the gospel is a sign of faith. It is to recognize the hand of the Lord in our lives and in everything around us. Our amazement also produces spiritual strength. It gives us the energy to remain anchored in our faith and to engage ourselves in the work of salvation.

But let us beware. Our ability to marvel is fragile. Over the long term, such things as casual commandment keeping, apathy, or even weariness may set in and make us insensitive to even the most remarkable signs and miracles of the gospel.
...is the gospel still wonderful to you? Can you yet see, hear, feel, and marvel? Or have your spiritual sensors gone into standby mode?

Never tire of discovering or rediscovering the truths of the gospel.

Anchor your faith in the plain and simple truths of the gospel. Our amazement should be rooted in the core principles of our faith, in the purity of our covenants and ordinances, and in our most simple acts of worship.

...seek and cherish the companionship of the Holy Ghost. Most wonders of the gospel cannot be perceived by our natural senses. They are the things that the “eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, … the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

...may always have eyes that see, ears that hear, and hearts that perceive the wonders of this marvelous gospel...

Being grateful...

After the reunion I got thank you notes from Aunt Bernice and Aunt Kay. I enjoyed organizing the reunion and didn't expect all the kinds words of gratitude and phone calls I received. But it was nice. The notes meant so much to me. It was a reminder to me that we always need to be grateful and say thank you!

 From Aunt Bernice

Words cannot express how much I love and respect you and all you do. The reunion was perfect. I cannot imagine how much time you put into the decorations and the favors, the poem, the food. I loved all the different favors you gave away, that was such a fun time. I love you don't ever doubt that and I loved seeing all the young generation and they all embraced us. I love my Federer heritage and I was so proud of you. Bernice

From Aunt Kay

Eileen,
Wow! I can't believe what a magnificent job you did with the reunion- the poem, little awards with prizes, EVERYTHING!
I know that Theodore and Edna would be proud as a peacock to see the person you are. I think it is great how the "younger" generations are carrying on the Federer heritage. I like the motto "Federer Strong." I am sending on of your grandmother's handkerchiefs. I thought you would treasure it.
Love you always,
Aunt Kay

I will treasure Grandma's hankie. I love my Aunt's and was grateful to see them one more time. #federerstrong

A Colby kind of day...

I got to spend the day with Colby on Tuesday while Cash was at summer camp. I love his dimple and million dollar smile!

He is so sweet and says the cutest things. Colby told Mark on Sunday that he didn't want to go to his "Priest crass." He was playing in the garage with the dolly and he said, I need to use the "pork lifter." It's probably better than a forklift anyway!

And he loves Hulk, he played with us at the Big Toy!
