Life's songs...

This picture of my four amazing grandson's fills my whole heart with so much gratitude. I'm not exaggerating when I say they take my breath away.

What a blessing to teach Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm. I have enjoyed every minute. As I have said before, it's much more than the lessons. It's being together, talking, laughing, playing games, and having dinner.

I know I'm not the most qualified but the boys are making progress, and we are learning as we go. I just hope I can keep up!

The boys have worked hard for several months and I was so proud of them. They all had good performances. I've told them I hope they learn to play some hymns. I asked Colby to play "Come thou Fount of Every Blessing" and he played it with feeling, so he's well on his way! I've always loved that song, it was in the Nazarene hymnal so I sang it often growing up.

I really enjoyed playing a duet with Colby.

I know piano is helping Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm become more confident. They are also experiencing the joy of music. During our lessons, sometimes there are false starts and do-overs as they are learning new songs. I feel sure they will make it through many of life's songs, no matter how many and false starts and do-overs they have to endure along the way.

One of the reason I had a recital was so Nana could hear the boys play, and it was also wonderful to have Grandma Darling come.

Certificates for an excellent performance!

Of course we had to have a celebratory treat! I asked Grahm what he wanted and he was very specific, banana chocolate chip cupcakes with sprinkles. Colby wanted cinnamon rolls. Cash and Grey were happy with either so I made both.

Grey looked so handsome, all the boys did!

After the recital Mark played the guitar and he and Grandpa sang. It was pretty awesome!

I love my family and am grateful
for all the memories were are creating together.
