Birthday Week...

It's been such a lovely week. Billie treated me to lunch on Tuesday. I don't see her that often so that was nice.

The night before my birthday I got a text from Holley that touched my heart. She said she wanted to be the first to wish me a Happy Birthday.

My sweet, tender sister. I couldn’t have ever gone through my adult life without you! You have taught me so much just through your example, your very soul. You teach me how to be more kind, more selfless, more compassionate, more accepting of others to this very DAY! You are a perfect gift to our family, all you work with, but mostly…to me❤️. I hope this birthday tomorrow finds you with a knowledge of your tremendous impact on so so many who love and cherish you …. And that I will be found among your fans! Happy, happy birthday—I love you!

I felt the birthday love at school. I had Happy Birthday sung to me on German, Spanish, ASL, and good ole English.

The fifth grade always presents a wonderful Veteran's program. Mr. Carpenter, a former teacher who served many years in the military always comes for the program. The students honor his service. I was happy I got a birthday hug from him. He was old school but definetly one of my favorites teachers at Lincoln.

My brother Lloyd lite up this star for my birthday, that was a first.

I also got so many thoughtful text, cards, and few gifts.

I had a delicious lunch at P.F. Chang's with Tim and Christopher. We also did a little shopping, it was a fun afternoon.

My favorite cards are always from our grandsons. They also watched a video of Bob Ross and painted me a picture. That touched my heart because Mark did that as a young boy too!

I ask Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm for an updated picture. They were so sweet to put on new shirts that I got them. I might need to do retakes because I chose the wrong setting on my new phone. But as my sister-in-law Mary Kay used to say, "There are no bad pictures, just some that are better than others."

Birthday week came to close with Sunday dinner. Chris and Mark made some delicious food and I always enjoy having all my family gathered around the table.

Colby helping Chris!

Thanks everyone, I love you!
