Grandma's Summer Camp 2021, it was a little fishy!

It all started with Science Camp

then Dragon Camp

then Pirate Camp

then Space Camp

And the tradition continues with a Gone Fishing Camp this year!

Grandpa started the day off, appropriately enough by taking Cash and Grahm fishing at Tibble Fork. They didn't catch anything but they still had fun. Grahm loved fishing and I'm sure they will go again!

I love planning and preparing for summer camp. I hope Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm will look back one day and remember summer camps with fondness. Above all, I hope they can feel how much we love them and enjoy spending time with them. I like seeing their reaction to the front porch decorations!

Pure sunshine!

Big Mouth Bass craft - First off we made a few big mouth bass that moved. The boys really enjoyed making them. I like the way they turned out.

Duck Boat Challenge - I gave the boys a lot of different supplies and they came up with their own design. The goal was to see if their boat would float! We took them outside and success, they are were all sea worthy.

Clever Cash made a canoe!

Fish Cup game - a carnival favorite. I kept the game fish friendly and used some squirt frogs for the prizes. Getting a ping pong ball in a plastic cup is harder than it looks!

Fish Relay game - The idea was to fill the jars with water using only a sponge until the ping pong ball floated to the top. The prizes were the fish in the bottom of the jars. Grahm was so cute, he used a small sponge and didn't give up until his jar was full of water.

Water Balloon Toss - this was Christopher's idea. It was a fun and messy game! We took turns throwing the fragile water balloons back and forth, each time taking a step back. You keep getting farther apart until the balloon breaks. We did get a little wet but that's all part of the fun. Colby had a good laugh when I failed to catch a balloon and was covered with water!

Time for dinner, you guessed it, pizza bites! Cash made a lot and he asked Colby to help put sauce on them. It was sweet seeing them work together.

Grahm was enjoying his pizza and listening to the ocean waves in a seashell. He was using his hands to make waves. He's the cutest boy.

I think the big mouth fish is making a move to eat the pizza!

After dinner is was time for the treasure hunt. Grandpa came up with some epic clues for Cash and Colby. Even though there were a few tricky ones, they figured it out. The boys always look forward to the treasure hunts.

Cash and Colby hid fish outside for Grey and Grahm to find. They ran around and finally found them all. Grahm would get so excited when he found a fish. He asked us to hide the fish again, so we did, two more times.

We decorated some cute fishy cupcakes and just like that is was time to get ready for bed. We got cozy on the beds downstairs, ate popcorn, and watched a movie. Why does the time go by so fast?

Perfect...

Next morning we had breakfast and went fishing for prizes. This is another fun carnival game and Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm took turns going in the "water" to help each other catch a prize!

We had time for one more craft, celery fish. We use celery stalks to paint scales on the fish. Very colorful works of art!

We played a few more games before camp came to a close. It always makes me sad when camp is over. I'm just so thankful for my family and will cherish the memories I have of our time together.

Until next year my sweet boys!
