Williams Family Talent Night...

Several months ago I asked Colby if he wanted to have a piano recital. I told him we would invite Nana and Papa. I also said we could have treats. He replied, "Well that's the only reason I would do it." As the weeks went by he got more excited to share the songs he's learned. Tiffani suggested we have Cash and Grey share their talent, and the things they have been working on also. It was a wonderful experience and a night I will not forget. I'm very proud of Cash, Colby, and Grey. They are bright and are developing the gifts, and talents they have been given. We love them so much.

Grey shared his artwork and the characters he's created.

Colby has a loose tooth!

Cash shared a project he's been working on. He designed, built, and coded a cool light cylinder. It was very impressive. He also showed the drawings and paintings he created in art class.

It has been a delight to give Colby piano lesson. I cherish the time we spend together. I ask him if he wanted a new shirt to wear to the recital and he chose a very colorful one. He wanted me to sit by him, I thought that was sweet. I asked him to announce the songs he was playing, but was a little reluctant. I was pleasantly surprised when part way through the recital, he did announce the song he would perform. He played the songs with confidence. My favorite song he has learned so far is, "Bells Are Ringing" a version of Beethoven's last symphony. The third measure was difficult for him and he wanted to skip it. I encouraged him to not give up, he pushed through, and mastered it! After the recital I heard Cash say, "That was good Colby."

I let Colby choose the treat and he wanted banana splits. I'm so grateful for our wonderful grandsons! I think we will have more talent nights in the future! I'm sure Grahm will have something to share next time also!
