Forty years ago today I was baptized.
Thank you to my sister for introducing me to the gospel. I feel so much gratitude for Roseanne who led the way. I have been blessed beyond measure and owe those blessings to many people who helped me, taught me, and loved me. I’m very thankful for Richard and Judy Brown for taking me under their wing, and for never giving up on me. When you baptized me Richard, perhaps you thought it was a small thing—but it was no small thing and I have had such a wonderful life since that day. I am grateful for my parents who laid the foundation by taking me to church every Sunday and for teaching me the power of prayer.
I’m grateful for the missionaries who answered the call to serve for two years and brought the message of the restoration and good news of the gospel. I have such respect for their dedication, their sacrifice, and their example. Wherever they are today, I hope they know how grateful I am these many years later. I am also thankful for the leaders of the Church who lead us, and guide us, and who seek revelation from God. I’m grateful today as I listen to conference for President Nelson, that his life has be prolonged, and at age 96 is still full of endless energy and great wisdom. Thank you to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for his atonement and redeeming love. I know He lives, and because of Him we can have peace, hope, and healing.

Thank you again Richard,
you are my forever friend and I love you and Judy.
