Back to school COVID style...

  • Masks
  • 6 feet apart
  • Disinfect high touch surfaces
  • Wash hands often
  • Lunch at desks
  • Blended model with half the students in the morning and the other half in the afternoon
  • Four day school week
  • No one in the school Friday, Saturday or Sunday to allow for natural sanitation
  • Online learning for some students
  • Temperature checks

I pray that we can keep the students in school and avoid distance learning. The administration has given countless hours to make this a successful school year. Everything is so different but this week has gone well, with only a few minor hiccups.

Schools provide more than just academics. Students learn social and emotional skills, get exercise, have access to mental health support, and other services that cannot be provided with online learning. It can be a safe place when parents are working. For many families, schools are a place to get a healthy meal. Here's to staying safe, and to preventing the spread of stinking COVID-19.

Oh and all week we have had excessive heat. Not a fan, but I hope it takes out the virus!
