Totaled truck...

Last week our friend Rulon was in an accident. He and Billie were at their home in St. George. Rulon decided to go wash his truck. He started to feel sick so he called Billie to tell her. She asked him to pull over and told him she would come get him. Rulon passed out hitting the car in front of him and that car was pushed into another car. Billie heard the crash. Rulon must of still had his foot on the gas pedal and then swerved hitting a power pole. All the airbags deployed and his truck was totaled. He was very sore and has some cuts but thankfully not seriously injured. The experience was traumatic for Billie, hearing the crash and not knowing if Rulon was okay was so frightening. She called 911 and the operator stayed on the line until she reached the crash site. Rulon was already in the ambulance on the way to the hospital. He stayed in the hospital for a few days and is feeling much better. The doctors are not sure why he passed out. He does have some on going medical problems.

I really wanted to do something to help but Billie said the only thing she needed was some of my orange rolls. I quickly whipped up a batch and took them to her. Sometimes all you can do is bake, pray, and be a good listener.

I'm grateful for good friends and that Rulon is on the mend.

P.S. Rulon has already bought a brand new truck!
