ThrowBack Thursday - Surprise birthday party...

Even though Mom has passed away, sometimes I wish we could redo this day... Mom was so happy. I pulled off the surprise of the century for her 80th birthday. She had no idea that her only living brother and sister were hiding behind the bathroom. I will never forget the look of pure joy on her face when she saw Uncle Ken and Aunt Mildred. Uncle Ken drove up from Denver and Aunt Mildred flew in from Arkansas. I appreciate all the help I had from Tim, my brother Lloyd, and my niece Heidi. I made a memory book for Mom and she thanked me for it every time I talked to her, no exaggeration. She looked at it a gazillion times and anyone who came to visit her had to take a look... even if they had already seen it! It's the little things...
