Baby watch and sleepover...

Wednesday, August 2nd Mark and Tiffani brought Cash, Colby, and Grey to Grandma's for a sleepover. It really was my privilege to watch the grands while Mark and Tiff were at the hospital. They had to be there by 6:15am Thursday morning! Before they left Mark gave Tiffani one of the most thoughtful and beautiful blessings I have ever heard. Then this wonderful family of five posed for one last picture before they become a family of six!

As a side note I went to the temple that morning and put Tiffani and Mark's name on the prayer roll. I know there were many prayers and good thoughts for them throughout the last nine months.

Cash and Colby fell right to sleep, but Grey was a little unsettled. I think he sensed something was up. I tried to comfort him, and I held him until he fell asleep. It was about 11:30, and he slept good the rest of the night. The next morning we had a nice breakfast, watched a few shows, and played. We were patiently waiting for baby news!

 Cashee's favorite chair!

I heard my phone beep at about 8:30... Mark had sent these pictures, and video of our newest little grandson Grahm. He was crying in the video and it was music to my ears. The wait was over, and I was filled with so much gratitude. He is perfect, and Tiff was also doing good. What a blessing.

Happy Birth Day Grahm!

Mark sent this picture and said, "He's awake."

We waited a little longer for Mark to let us know when we could bring the boys to the hospital to meet their new brother. It was a sweet experience to take them to the hospital.

 Going in!

Grey wasn't sure about all this, but look at the smile on Cash's face! Colby was just taking it all in with his hands in his pockets!

The best big brothers... they were so excited to hold Grahm. He was just five hours old!

What a sweet addition to our family. I have been praying morning and night for that Grahm would be healthy. Several months ago Mark and Tiffani were told that Grahm had some calcification on his heart, which is a soft marker for downs syndrome. The doctor did not seem overly concerned, but were obligated to tell them. He said most of the time the calcification goes away. I tried not worry, but just have faith everything would be okay. I felt so much joy and gratitude to hold this perfect baby boy. I was even more thankful when Mark told us that there was a knot in the umbilical cord, and it could have been there for months.

We had a celebratory lunch at
JCW's, and Cash took a few pictures.

While Grey took a nap Cash, Colby, and I made a few Lego creations. I'm so amazed with Cash's ability to figure things out.

Cash finished this Minecraft set in a flash. It was a gift from his brother Grahm!

What a happy day!
