Rodeo...

It makes me so happy when I can see my family. My nephew Jimmy invited me to watch him compete in a rodeo in Evanston, Wyoming. It's just a few hours away, so I jumped at the chance.

A semi caught fire up Parley's Canyon, so traffic was back up for about 5 miles. We crept along at about 2 miles an hour. It took me two and half hours to get to Evanston. It usually takes less than than two hours. It's a good thing I am always early, I made it just as the rodeo was starting!

I was behind this nice rig, and I saw a bumper sticker that said "Stupid Cancer" - I totally agree, it is stupid!

It was a perfect Saturday night in Evanston for the 80th Annual Uinta County Rodeo, calm and no wind.

Jimmy and Sis warming up for the team roping event. Jimmy has really been burning the candle at both ends since Kenny has been in the hospital. He wasn't going to go, but I'm glad he did. He needed to get away for a few day.

I didn't know until I got to the rodeo that my great-nephew Teigan was also competing in the mini-bronc riding event. He and Raeland are the cutest cowboys!

Cute ponies for the mini-bronc event.

Teigan was up first. He's a beginner, and didn't stay on the horse for 6 seconds, but I was proud of him. He didn't get hurt, he jumped up and dusted himself off.

 Go Jimmy!

Jimmy's partner took too long tighten the rope, so there time wasn't very good... but it was still so fun to watch them!

 The clown was great!

Jimmy was disappointed, but you shake off and look forward to the next rodeo.

What a wonderful night. We all had dinner together after the rodeo at a yummy Mexican restaurant. I'm so grateful I could hang out with my nephew Theo, his wife Brittany, my darling great nephews Teigan and Raeland, of course my nephew Jimmy, and the icing on the cake was getting see my brother Marion. I have not seen him since Mom died. I love my Federer family.
