dusted my favorite cowboys boots and headed to Salt Lake for a RODEO! My nephew Theo was competing and I was so excited he asked Tim and I to come see him do a little bull dogging a.k.a. steer wrestling.
The rodeo is in conjunction with the Utah State Fair. Tim and I had some extra time before the rodeo started to look around. Imagine our surprise when we bumped into Tim's brother Lee!
We love the art. This was my favorite painting, it's called "Helping Grandpa."
The flower exhibit was amazing!
A woman had some bubbles mixed with dry ice and the kids loved it. When you pop the bubbles smoke comes out.
A string quartet at the fair, very nice!
View from the rodeo arena
Skydivers signal the start of the rodeo!
The Grand Entry
The first event was bronc riding, yeehaw!
You can't have a rodeo without a clown.
Theo is over there somewhere!
Theo did great, he's one tough cowboy! Not a first place time but he won some prize money.
I don't get many chances to see my nephew's compete, so this was a real treat for me!
Theo's trusty horse Duke and his cute son Teagan!
Cool laser brand on Duke.
The possee telling us to get out of town!
What a fun night. I am proud of Theo and I love my handsome cowboy nephew.
