Stake Center (church building) that was destroyed by the devastating tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri on May 22, 2011.
The tithing slips, standing orderly in the wall holder, offer an interesting contrast to the devastation in the rest of the building.
I have offered many silent prayers for the families of Joplin who have lost everything and I marvel at the courage they have shown. I am grateful to my neighbors, the Nilson's who organized a relief effort in our neighborhood. They provided several trucks to deliver the things we donated.
