"When our hearts are filled with the love of God, something good and pure happens to us. We ‘keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.’ The more we allow the love of God to govern our minds and emotions—the more we allow our love for our Heavenly Father to swell within our hearts—the easier it is to love others with the pure love of Christ."~President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, General Conference, Apr. 2012

Going to the mountains...
I love that we live so close to the beautiful American Fork Canyon.
We had our first picnic of the season. The weather was perfect and we had the entire campground all to ourselves.
Mark grilled up some delicious hot dogs and hamburgers!
Cash loved going to the mountains, he could not get enough of exploring the great outdoors. He was not interested in having dinner. I think he had two strawberries and a piece of cheese!
"Say Cheese!"
The sun was setting and it was time to go home. Tim and I reflected on all our blessing as we drove down the mountain. There is nothing we enjoy more than being with our family. We will be having lots more picnics before summer is over and our new grandson arrives!

Mother's Day 2012
I decided to surprise Tiff and have the cradle ready for Mother's Day. I really like this owl fabric and I think she did too. She was excited and happy to see the cradle again. She said it made it seem more real that she's having another baby!
I went with Tiffani to her doctor appointment. She had an ultra sound and it was amazing to see my little grandson. You could see his heart beating and his hands! He's a handsome little guy and the doctor said everything looked perfect! What a sweet experience, thanks Tiff!
Ollie the Owl!
Tim the woodworker outdid himself and I'm so glad I talked him into making the cradle.
I can't believe it will soon be two years since I was getting the cradle ready for Cash.
Chris made a
feast that included my favorite... Kung Pao shrimp. It was a beautiful
evening so we enjoyed being outside after dinner.

Just 3 Words
Happy Mother's Day to all the amazing women in my life... especially to my own dear mother, my mother-in-law and to my sweet daughter-in-law.
Johnnie Belle has just been through one of the most difficult times in her life. She's improving a little each day. She has carried on without Glenn for 21 years, always looking for ways to teach and share her wisdom. I know she wouldn't like this picture with her knees highs showing but I think it's part of her charm!
How I love this girl. Tiffani has got this mom thing figure out. She has really learned the difference between mothering and being a mother. She gives her whole self to Cash. She takes time to play and teach him. I love to see Cash in Tiffani's arms. Motherhood is sacrifice and selflessness, it's the most important teaching job women will ever have. Tiff understands her role.
My Mom is warrior, she has taught me to be strong and I love her. I appreciate my brothers... Kenny, Lloyd, Marion and Ernie for all they do for Mom.

I'm grateful be Chris and Mark's mother, it's a priceless gift and brings me so much happiness.
And it's no secret I LOVE being a grandmother. Cash is 20 months old and I have enjoyed every moment we are together.
Have a wonderful Mother's Day weekend!
