Good News!

In case you haven't heard Tim's pathology report for his liver biopsy was negative, no cancer cells found. What a relief. Thanks again to everyone for your prayers and support, it meant so much to Tim.

I know I take good health for granted. It's true, "When you have your health, you have everything" (Augusten Burroughs) or at least the potential to have everything!

We think it's time to recommit to better health and try to eat more of this

and not so much of this

Best medicine...

The last few weeks have been a little rough for Grandpa but an afternoon with this little man can make you forget all your troubles!!

This week, the best medicine for Grandpa has been to be with Cash. He makes your heart light and we can't help but feel gratitude for the amazing joy this little grandson brings into our lives. Simple, pure and powerful healing.

Mother's Day Dinner 2011

My family knows I love McDonald's filet-o-fish sandwiches. I don't have them very often. Chris decided to make them for Mother's Day. He used fresh halibut, and they were delicious. I can't believe I didn't get a picture.

 He also made onions rings, yummy!

Cash got to enjoy a banana, it's so cute to see him eat. Let's face it, we think everything he does is cute!!

Tiffani made me a delicious, from scratch mind you Red Velvet cake. It was so good I had two pieces! 

It's was our sweet Tiffani's first Mother's Day. She is the best mom ever, we love her so much. She wants to try planting a garden so Mark got her some essentials to get her started and Tim donated a grow box. 

 

Mark and Tiff gave me some Grandma Gear so I will have all the things I need when we have Cash sleepover. Yes, it brought tears to my eyes! Thanks for the picture frame and all the other gifts.

I am so grateful to be a mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. I love my little family. Thanks for perfect day!

Wordless Wednesday - My boys

Gallbladder.. who needs it?

Well as it turns out Tim won't be needing his gallbladder anymore. He had surgery yesterday to remove it.

Thank you Robyn for recommending this book. It's a good one and it really help pass the time, all 8 hours of it!!

The surgery went well. Tim was sick a few weeks ago so he went to the doctor. The doctor recommended removing his gallbladder and having a liver biopsy.

The doctor took a few pictures before he removed his gallbladder and discovered his liver does not look normal. He's not sure why but is has some permanent damage. We won't know the results of the biopsy for about a week.

I want to thank all of you who have called or come by to show your support and love. 

Mark gave Tim an amazing blessing Monday night assisted by Christopher. We trust that this will not effect his overall health in the future. Please keep Tim in your prayers.

Around Cheytown... Part III

I enjoyed an afternoon driving around Cheyenne. I always visit the graves a few others places that hold special memories for me. So many times I went to the graves with Dad, Mom and Grandma Federer. We placed a lot of plastic flowers on them, (no silk back then) to remember our loved ones.

My Mom's family ~ Mom will probably be buried here, there's one plot left.

Grandma Ames, Mom's Mom. Grandma Ames worked hard all her life, she was an expert seamstress. She loved flowers, especially geraniums. I have geranium wallpaper in my laundry room in honor of her!

Mom's Dad, I remember he was sick a lot.

Mom's childhood home just off Logan Avenue. I have many happy memories of playing with my cousins from Arkansas here every summer.

My brother Les and I would would walk to this store with my cousins to get candy. It wasn't called The Eclectic Elephant back then! 

My Mom's sister ~ I loved Aunt Jeanne. She never married, she was kind and generous. I always got a card and phone call from her on my birthday.

My baby brother, he only lived a few hours.

My Great Aunt Mabel and her husband, Grandma Federer's sister.

This is Aunt Mabel's home on Logan Avenue. I have NEVER seen such an immaculate home. It was always so darn clean, nothing was ever out of place. It made me nervous to go there! She had a collection of miniature porcelain animals that I loved. I especially liked the little dachshunds... weiner dogs!

Grandma and Grandpa Federer ~ love them so much!

This was the church that our family attended. It was sold and it's being renovated. It will be a mortuary. Conveniently the cemetery is right across the street.

Attending this church with my family was a great foundation for me, the beginning of my faith.

The newest LDS Chapel in Cheyenne on Four Mile Road, it's gorgeous.

This was our first home after Tim and I were married on Red Fox Road. Chris' nursery was where the bigger window is at the back of the house. Tim built this home while he was attending law school. He planted all those trees , look how big they are!

Our home on 6th Avenue, we lived here before we moved to Utah.

This is my girl, Heidi-Ho! Heidi is my niece, I tended her a lot when she was a little girl. I love her so much. We had dinner and a wonderful visit Thursday night.

I didn't get pictures but I also got to see my nieces Holley and Julie. I also saw our dear fiends, Richard and Judy Brown.

I tell you what, it was so windy in Cheyenne. Every time I got out the car I felt like I needed to hang on to something for dear life. There's NO air pollution in Cheyenne. No amount of hairspray can save your hairdo.

There was still a lot of snow at Elk Mountain.

Nothing prettier than the Wyoming skies!

I had a good trip to Cheyenne, so happy I could see friends and family. Some people wonder why I drive there alone but I always have a guardian angel with me, my Dad.

I was excited I got to see "God's car" on the way home. I have wondered what it looked like!!

Thanks for letting me go on this trip Tim. Good to go but even better to get back home.
