Marvelous Mother's Day...

Grahm finally got to show Tiff the cake he made.

Mark grilled up the most delicious chicken and shrimp stir fry! Thank you so much son.

Cash was comforting Ruby. She had to have surgery but she's healing up just fine.

Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm all helped prepare Mother's Day dinner and we had a marvelous time together.

Grahm made this for Tiff at school. She loves it and her boys.
She's absolutely amazing and then some.

Thank you for all the thoughtful gifts, cards, and pictures. I love them all and am so grateful to be a mother and grandmother. It's just everything!

I wrote of poem for Tiffani and Colby read it for me. It was simple but it was from my heart. We are so grateful for Tiffani and her devotion to her sons.

A Mother’s Heart Like Yours

To my dear daughter-law, so precious and rare
A woman of faith, full of love, and of prayer
Your heart is anchored in truths that are sure
You follow the Savior and know His teachings are pure
Your life is full of a myriad of things to do each day
Rousing sleepy boys out of bed when they would rather stay
You are always on call to rush to school and pick up a sick one
Not to mention doctor appointments, games,
and still making time for fun
You have taught your sons to be self-sufficient and to do their part
They can make dinner, help with the laundry, and that’s just the start
There are those sleepless nights when worry fills the space
Exhausted but you still keep going and seek for His grace
You make sacrifices that will be remembered for years
There can never be too many kisses and hugs that always calm fears
It’s from you that your children are learning to stay on the right path
And to be worthy of all our Heavenly Father hath
They know the joy of music, art, dancing, and nature because of you
You are the perfect mother for Cash, Colby, Grey, and Grahm too
I’m thankful our grandsons have a mother that knows her divine roll
A mother who is devoted, patient, wise, with the most beautiful soul
You are leaving your indelible mark,
and I applaud you for all that you do.
You are truly one of my heroes and l really love you.

Grey said the cake is real good. Grandpa even made some of his famous strawberry ice cream.

Thank you all again for a really marvelous day.

When I got home there was a package on the porch from Christopher. I love the bracelet and flowers. Thank you!

Cake for Mom...

After Grahm's soccer game last week he asked me if he could come over and make a cake for his Mom for Mother's Day.

It was so sweet watching Grahm. I told him the steps and he did everything else. He cracked the eggs and we only had to take out a few pieces of shells!

I told Grahm not to lift the beaters out of bowl while it was running. He looked at me and said, "Oh I've learned my lesson."

I can't think of a more meaningful gift than the ones that come from the heart. Grahm was so proud of the finished product and can't wait to show his Mom!

Grey came along to supervise and they were having a humming contest. I sure love our two G's.

Super Dryer 3A1...

Tiffani sent these pictures of the Mother's Day tea party she had with Grey at school. Grey is so sweet and artistic too.

Grey and Grahm came for Grandma's Day, we had the first snowcone of the season and water fun as usual.

Grey and Grahm stood by the tower fan to dry off. Grahm called the fan the "Super Dryer 3A1." He's so clever and cute!

First rose from the bush Mark gave me. I looked forward to the blooms every year.

Grey and Grahm made Mother's Day wreaths with seed packets. They turned out so pretty and the boys had fun making them.

The life saver game and snuggles. I'm so grateful Grey and Grahm will still sit on our laps once in awhile.

Hurry back Grey and Grahm!

Let not your heart be troubled...

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.
~John 14:1-4

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
~John 14:27

"In the moonlit silence of that Near Eastern night, every acute pain, every heartfelt grief, every crushing wrong and human hurt experienced by every man, woman, and child in the human family was to be heaped upon his weary shoulders. But in such a moment, when someone might have said it to him, he rather says to us, 'Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.' (John 14:27.)

See you Friday...

Whether whacking them with a bat or ball, water balloons are still sparking joy! It was long week and I was so thankful when Friday came.

Something about bubbles and spiders!

It seemed like a good night for a sleepover. I would do that every week if I could! I just love having extra time with our grandsons.

Grey and Grahm always choose a few books to read before bedtime. I love reading books with them. They are both really good readers!

My sunshine!

Shhhhh, don't tell anyone we had breakfast in bed.

The next morning we headed off to soccer and flag football games. Colby has several friends on the team. Parker lives right across the street. They had a campout the night before, Colby and Parker stayed up late playing games and talking with the other boys in his quorum. I'm so thankful Colby has lots of good friends.

Parker's Dad is the coach and does a good job. He's patient and respectful. I heard Coach Curley correcting a mistake one of the boys made during a play. You could tell it hurt his feelings. Coach took him aside and said, Hey, I'm not mad at you I'm just coaching." There's definitely a difference. I'm thankful for all the dads who volunteer to coach. The teenage referees were the best I've seen, top tier for sure. And by the way, Colby almost caught a toss, if it weren't for two boys on the other team that sandwiched him in!

As Grahm always says, "See you Friday."
