Happy 60th Tim...

Oh no, say it isn't so
Tim is turning the big 6-0!

On Sunday Tim will reach a milestone. It's a little strange, thinking that I will be married to a sixty year old guy, but in a few years I will be a sixty year old woman!

A tribute in pictures for the birthday boy...
Timothy Glenn Williams ~ June 24, 1952

Mike ~ His Dad Glenn ~ Tim ~ Lee

Tim served an honorable mission in England. He and his mission companions were in a singing group that would travel to different areas. They shared a message of hope through music.

I'm proud of Tim for serving his country.

We were married in the Salt Lake Temple on November 30, 1981.

Chris was born September 18, 1982 and Mark was born August 12, 1983
A very happy Dad on Mark's blessing day!

Tim is a wonderful father!

Mark and Chris helping Tim mow the lawn. (Thankfully the quality of pictures has improved through the years!)

Oh, how he loves his boys!

Mark and Chris showing Tim who's boss!

Tim loved to play the trumpet with Chris. He never had formal lessons,
Tim taught him how to play and he was always first chair.

Tim and Mark both like playing the guitar.

Tim loved, LOVED watching Mark play soccer. Rain or shine he never missed one of his games. Mark is #15 with the shaved head and bleach hair!

Mark was the star on his high school team and went all the way to the State Championship.

Tim is so proud of Chris and Mark for serving honorable missions for our church in Taiwan and Denmark.

He was also so proud of Chris when he graduated from college, so was Grandma Johnnie Belle!

Tim with his brother and sisters ~ Mark, Holley Terri, Lee and Mike.

Tim has always liked motorcycles...

and he still does. He rides his scooter to work almost everyday in the summer.

Tim graduated from the University of Wyoming Law School in 1980 and has been practicing law ever since.

His office at Interline Resources in Alpine...

and his current office in Highland.

Tim's favorite hobby is woodworking. He has made several Windsor chairs and of course a beautiful cradle for our grandbabies.

He's a good son who loves and honor his Mom. He has kept a promise he made to his Dad to always take care of her.

Tim mentioned the other day that he's happier now than he has been for many years. There are many reasons but these are the top two...

This little boy is reason number one. Tim adores Cash and loves to spend time with him. Cash loves Grandpa too!

Tim also enjoys the area of law he's practicing now. Helping families with aging parents sort through difficult decisions and other areas of ElderLaw (VA, Medicaid and Estate Planning) brings him a lot of satisfaction.

We have experienced many wonderful trips together. Our favorites will always be Maui, Lake Powell and Banff.

Well there it is, sixty years in a nut shell! Thank you for working so hard to take care of us, we have never wanted for anything. You have always put your family first. The most important thing we have is each other.

Tim would rather not have a big party but that doesn't mean we won't celebrate on Sunday with our little family!

Happy Birthday Tim, love you always!

Father's Day 2012

Tim LOVES breakfast food and for some reason he thinks it tastes better in the mountains. So Saturday morning we headed up the canyon for a Father's Day celebration.

Chris and Mark got busy cooking the sausage and bacon.

Yummy!

If you haven't made french toast from Kneader's chunky cinnamon bread, you don't know what your missing. It's so delicious!

Cash and Grandpa enjoying their breakfast!

Tim loves his boys!

And nothing makes him feel more content and happy than being together with our family.

I love how Cash is reaching for Christopher's hand in this picture. Our mommy-to-be looks so beautiful!

Cash and Grandpa did some exploring after breakfast.

I can NEVER have too many pictures of our sweet Cash. I know a lot of my post are about him but he's my grandson and I want to preserve every precious moment!

CUTE!

Sunday I fixed one of Tim's favorites, pork roast with and all the trimmings.

I made a spice cake for dessert, another one of his favorites. Mark loves my chocolate chip cookies so I whipped a batch just for him. He will be a father of two boys soon!

The day ended with Chris surprising Tim with his very own i-Pad. What more could you asked for?... he has an iPod, iPhone, iPad and iLeen!

Quote for the Week - Favorite scripture...

"And now I would that ye should be humble, and be submissive and gentle; easy to be entreated; full of patience and long-suffering; being temperate in all things; being diligent in keeping the commandments of God at all times; asking for whatsoever things ye stand in need, both spiritual and temporal; always returning thanks unto God for whatsoever things ye do receive. And see that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye will always abound in good works." ~ Alma 7:23-23
(This is absolutely, without a doubt my favorite scripture... it should be read at my funeral!)

Sunshine and Cherries!

Tim was so happy yesterday because he convinced his Mom to let him take her outside. For some reason every time he would suggest it, she would say no. She loved being out in the warm sun!

Tim discovered a cherry tree nearby that was full of delicious Bing cherries. They stayed outside for almost a hour eating cherries and talking. I know this day will bring comfort to Tim in the coming days. He's a good son who loves and honors his Mom. I'm sure his Dad is proud of him for taking care of his sweetheart.

Quote for the Week - Everything will be all right...

Everything will be all right in the end...
if it's not all right then it's not the end.

This quote is from the movie The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. The movie is about group of British retirees who decide to "outsource" their retirement to less expensive and seemingly exotic India. Enticed by advertisements for the newly restored Marigold Hotel and bolstered with visions of a life of leisure, they arrive to find the palace a shell of its former self. Though the new environment is less luxurious than imagined, they are forever transformed by their shared experiences, discovering that life and love can begin again when you let go of the past. Tim and I saw this movie and really enjoyed it.

Happy Birthday in Heaven Dad!

Uncle Dale, Uncle Carl and Dad

Today Ivan Lester Federer would have been 85 years old. It seems so unfair that he's not here with us to celebrate.

My Dad was handsome and so fit before he got sick with cancer. I often wonder how life would have been different for all of us if Dad had not got cancer. God had another plan.

I miss him terribly. Not one day passes when I don't think about him. I'm thankful for my faith in God and his Son, Jesus Christ. I simply could not imagine life without this faith. I look forward to seeing him again one day and living with him FOREVER :) Now that puts a smile on my face and wipes away all tears.

Happy Birthday in Heaven Dad ! I love you!
