Resilience doesn't mean the road is easy...

 

The beloved entertainer Dick Van Dyke reflected on the aches, losses, and quiet battles that come with age, admitting that resilience doesn't mean the road is easy - just that he refuses to stop walking it. He's still fighting to be joyful, grateful, and present as he nears a milestone few ever reach, turning 100 years old.

Christmas Cheer...

Grey and Grahm's Christmas sing was delightful from the first note to the last. Sweet songs sung with big smiles and just the right amount Christmas cheer to make this grandma grin the whole time!

I came early to save seats and of course Grahm ended up on the opposite side. We just quickly found a spot on the floor by where Grahm was singing. He sang his heart out and with such feeling. Grahm didn't take his eyes off of Tiffani, it was tender. He loves his Mama!

Christmas Break sleepover...

All month long I have had little surprises for Grey and Grahm when I pick them up from school. It's so fun to see their reaction when they get in the car and see what I got them.  

It was pajama day at school for Grahm. He came running out as soon as the bell rang looking as cute as could be. Grey and Grahm had a fun day their last day before Christmas Break. They are so excited to have almost two weeks off, I am too! We had a leisurely lunch at Costa Vida and then headed home to relax for a bit.

Grey and Grahm had fun playing a few holiday games and winning some prizes.

Adrian came for dinner, and Grey and Grahm had fun playing a few games with Grandpa, Chris, and Adrian.

It's very heartwarming watching Grey and Grahm playing together. They get along so well. I rarely see them quarrel. They don't play with certain toys for months and just like they are new again.

I'm so grateful for the memories being made when we have sleepovers with the Grands. When Grahm wakes up he always sweetly says, Good Morning Grandma. Then soon after Grey will come get in bed with us.They ask Alexa a bunch of questions, we listen to songs, and there's lots of laughter. It's just a magical time for me and I am savoring this time fully.

Breakfast, piano practice on the Ipad, and a few more games before it's time to go. 

Hurry back my sweet grandsons. I love you so much!

Christmas shopping with Colbs...

Colby came over for piano lessons last Wednesday. We also had a late lunch and went Christmas shopping. I love spending time with Colby. It was a wonderful afternoon.
