Saturday soccer with Cash...

I really enjoyed watching Cash play soccer on Saturday. He's always been a team player and he's fast. His team is undefeated! Cash is getting so tall and more handsome everyday!

See the things that matter most...

My dear brothers and sisters, we would do well to slow down a little, proceed at the optimum speed for our circumstances, focus on the significant, lift up our eyes, and truly see the things that matter most. Let us be mindful of the foundational precepts our Heavenly Father has given to His children that will establish the basis of a rich and fruitful mortal life with promises of eternal happiness. They will teach us to do “all these things … in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that [we] should run faster than [we have] strength. [But] it is expedient that [we] should be diligent, [and] thereby … win the prize.”

I'm almost always happy...

Mark shared something with us today that touched my heart. Mark said that they had a very busy day awhile back and Tiffani told Grey she was sorry she didn't have much time to play with him. Grey replied, "I'm almost always happy."

If you know Grey that is absolutely true. He's a gentle soul and patient. Grey doesn't like to be rushed and takes his time to enjoy whatever food I've prepared for dinner. He's often peacemaker. He has a cute sense of humor and is a delight to be around. He's smart and can read directions on how to play a game better than we can! He creative and artistic too. I feel like he's resilient in most situations. He can and has done hard things.

I had the day off from school Friday. I was thinking I could maybe pick up the boys early from school and go to the Tulip Festival. I found out Tiffani and Grahm were on a field trip and Grey had stayed home from school. So I asked if he would like to stroll around the Tulip Festival with me. I was delighted he said yes! He hummed and held my hand as we walked around. I would squeeze his hand and he would always squeeze back. Because he is almost always happy he makes others feel happy. I want to be more like Grey.

As Grandpa said, that's the motto to live by for sure. "I'm almost always happy." We love you Grey.

Lunch first then off to see the flowers!

Grey and I really liked seeing all the topiaries. They were made from flowers and other kinds of grasses.

Grey enjoyed finding hidden clues and solved a puzzle with ease.

It was a sweet experience to walk through the Tree of Life exhibit with Grey. I showed him the Rod of Iron and how there are scriptures written on it. I had a feeling at that moment that Grey will hold on and trust that the scriptures will be his guide through life. What a wonderful day with my precious grandson.

Because of Him...

Grandpa was helping Cash and brought Grahm over after the field trip. We enjoyed a few more hours together.

I finished Grey's afghan and I could tell he wanted to bring it home. I need to get busy and make one for Grahm. He takes the yarn out of the closet often to remind me!

So much love for our grandsons...

ThrowBack Thursday ~ Fridays...

The best way to spend Friday nights. Grey was so little and Grandpa still had some brown hair.

Best days...

It was a little cold and windy but
we still had a fun Easter egg hunt.

Grahm was looking for more eggs in the tree!

My silly eggheads!

I made Grey a soft cozy afghan in his favorite color. He gave me one of his shy sweet smiles and snuggled up on the couch to watch a show.

Another Saturday marathon of cheering the Grands on!
Grahm took a few pictures of Colby's game.

Some of the games are at the same time so we divide and conquer. After Colby's game I took my "Burger Boys" to have some lunch.

Grahm wanted to show me how he can do a flip on the tramp. We also played a fun game of tetherball.
